False Start

Deep as Chopkra is part of Fleetstreet, an album that emerged from a month-long residency at the Fleetstreet Theater in Hamburg. Over the course of that month, the trio — Lujo Asiático (Andrés Serantes and Segundo Bercetche, aka Primeiro), Chasys (Ariel Schlinter), and Koiwa (Cristian García Laborde) — met daily to record, explore, and improvise together.
Hours upon hours of sessions slowly accumulated, forming a dense archive of material that was later edited and distilled into seven final tracks. What began as sprawling one-hour pieces was gradually condensed into concentrated five-minute forms — sonic fragments sculpted through collective listening and reduction. Around seven additional tracks were left out of the album, remaining as resonances of the process rather than completed pieces.

This track is the tonal expression of a deep and close connection that has developed organically from our shared, unconditional passion for music. With Soul Bridge we present a conscious fusion of our individual artistic handwritings. The piece is an immersive experience that combines the atmospheric spaness of the ambient with the relaxing melodies of chillout and is grounded by the characteristic melancholic rhythms of the Future Garage. We have built a musical bridge that unites our creativity and that we now want to share with you.

“Tears on the Bassline” is a powerful fusion album that blends the deep pulse of drum and bass, the warmth of reggae, and the high-energy drive of bass house, vocal house, and club house. Each track is built around rich, emotional vocal performances that cut straight to the heart, carrying themes of struggle, love, healing, and inner fire.

The album moves between soulful reggae-infused grooves and fast, rolling drum and bass rhythms, while heavy basslines and uplifting house melodies create a balance between intensity and euphoria. The vocals—raw, expressive, and full of feeling—bring the entire journey to life, telling stories through every breath and harmony.

“Tears on the Bassline” captures the moment where emotion meets energy, where the dancefloor becomes a place of release, and where music speaks louder than words. This is a sound for the heart, the body, and the night.
