This one fluttered in like sunlight through kitchen blinds, light, cheeky, and just a little bit chaotic in the best way 🌞🎶🪟 the Whisk immediately claimed it as her theme tune and started twirling like she was on stage, while the Dishwasher tried (and failed) to keep a straight face mid-rinse 😅🍴🫧 it’s got that laid-back mischief, the kind of vibe that makes you grin without realising, part story, part wink, part melodic side quest 💫🥄 a proper lark indeed, and the kitchen’s 100% here for it.

Just as I was about to rush out for an appointment a few weeks ago I stopped by the piano and composed just a few bars.  I didn't really have the time but I can rarely resist the pull of my piano and thought "oh well...maybe just a few minutes!"  I knew that when I returned home and over the  weeks to follow, these few bars would grow into my next piece of music.  While I was at my appointment I thought to myself that these little musical "doodles" are like seeds.  Every time I sit at the piano a seed is sown (which is why I hit "record" every time)!  Some seeds (or "kernels") grow and develop, others do not even germinate.  

All seeds benefit from being cared for and nurtured and I am lucky enough to have someone special in my life who is rather an expert in all things musical.  Thank you Chris Adams for mentoring me and challenging me to come out of my comfort zone and try new things.

"Chum Chume Geselle Min" — a drifting dreamscape drawn from a medieval lyric, often set to a melody by Adam de la Halle and later adapted by Carl Orff. The sound of the words “Geselle Min” — companion of mine — has always haunted me, and this piece grew from their echo. All my pieces are mixed for headphones.

Hi, I’m Krissie 💜 I have high-functioning autism, which I proudly call a gift, though sometimes it drags me into beautifully bonkers territory. I played saxophone for over ten years (seriously, I could wail)... until I got ill and my arms went on strike. But music? It stuck around. So now I do what I can, I write, engineer, and produce my own songs, shaping them with whatever magic I’ve got left, plus a few emotional plot twists. All my life, I’ve had to hide who and what I am. I’ve never been what the world calls “normal.” As I say in 'I Don’t Write Songs "I Survive"', my brain just isn’t wired the way it should be. I’ve been called weird, not right in the head, bonkers, even crazy. So I learned to mask, to shrink, to pretend. But here… here, I get to breathe. To be.

And it’s not just the music. It’s the comments, the replies, the strange and sparkling conversations where I finally feel like I don’t have to filter myself. I can be full-volume, full-chaos, full-heart, and somehow, that’s not just accepted, it’s welcomed.

You beautiful humans (and possible aliens) have given me something I never thought I’d find, a place to be fully myself. To speak how I feel, to show what I see, and to turn it all into sound and words without shame. The way you’ve welcomed me, supported me, seen me, there are no words. (Yes, I know. Me. The Queen of Words. Speechless. Don’t get used to it.)

My heart is so full of love and gratitude, I’m honestly surprised it hasn’t burst into glitter. Thank you. All of you. From the very bottom of my shoelaces 🖤🎶🧦
