Jardine Cherelle Legere, known artistically as Jadel Legere, is an independent recording artist, singer, songwriter, pianist, and proud mother from the twin-island nation of Trinidad and Tobago. With a voice that fuses Soca, R&B, Dancehall, and Afropop, Jadel has built a reputation for delivering music that is both dynamic and soulful while carrying Caribbean culture to audiences worldwide.

Her passion for music began at just nine years old in Woodbrook, Port of Spain, Trinidad, performing in school and church choirs throughout her early years. After migrating to the United States, she honed her craft with the Caribbean bands Surface and Traffik in 2011. By 2014, she co-wrote with Soca powerhouse Kernal Roberts on Machel Montano’s hit single “Haunted.”

Although her music career was blossoming, Jadel also pursued her academic ambitions. In 2014, she enrolled with K. Beckles and Associates Tutors of Law, studying externally with the University of London toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Law. Passionate about paralegal and investigative work, she once believed law to be her true calling. However, as her success in music grew, balancing both paths became increasingly challenging, and music ultimately won her heart.

Her breakthrough came in 2016 with the Chutney Soca hit “All of It,” which won her the Carib Breakout Artiste Award and launched a European tour across the UK, Switzerland, and Spain.

In 2018, she balanced artistry and motherhood with two successful singles, “Round N Round” and “Dominate.” Round N Round carried her to the Trinidad Soca Monarch Finals, while in 2019, “Jam Day” became a Carnival anthem, securing her a spot in the International Soca Monarch Semifinals. That same year, she opened for Kes The Band at New York City’s world-famous Best Buy Theatre.

In 2020, under new management with JP Music Group (a division of Julianspromos, led by Julian Hackett), Jadel released her debut album “Call Me Jadel” (2020) under the label Julianspromos Worldwide. The album has since surpassed 2 million streams and featured signature tracks such as “Dominate,” “Round N Round,” “Jam Day,” and the R&B/Soca fusion “Hold Me Close.”

Her 2021 single “Deserve It All” (co-written by Kitwana Israel) became her most-streamed release to date, amassing over 7 million streams worldwide. Blending Soca with R&B, Dancehall, and Afropop, the track was featured on BET Jams and MTV, solidifying her as one of Soca’s rising global voices.

The momentum continued in 2022 with “Yuh Man” (written by Problem Child) and the BET-featured “Up In The Party.” That Carnival season, Jadel performed at more than 50 major events, including Illusion’s Black & Blue, Vibes with Voicey, and Queens in Soca alongside Nailah Blackman and Destra Garcia. She also launched an international tour with stops in St. Kitts, Antigua, Toronto, London, New York, Miami, and Singapore.

In 2023, Jadel released “Shake Up” featuring Jamaican star Demarco, and performed at more than 60 shows during Trinidad Carnival, including Soka in Moka, Army Fete, Sekon Sunday, and Fire Fete. She went on to headline stages at Kings Theatre (Brooklyn, NY), Belize, and Japan. That year, she was also nominated for Impact Soca Artist of the Year at the inaugural Caribbean Music Awards in Brooklyn.

Her sophomore album, “Don’t Be Mistaken” (2024), released under Julianspromos Worldwide, showcased her versatility with standout singles such as “Doh Ease Meh Up,” “Addictive” (featuring Charly Black), and “Calypso,” a vibrant tribute to the culture of Trinidad & Tobago. The album also compiled fan favorites including “Deserve It All,” “Yuh Man,” “Up In The Party,” and “Shake Up.” Spotlighted on Times Square billboards and surpassing 1 million streams, the project cemented Jadel’s presence as one of Soca’s most dynamic voices.

The year 2025 brought even greater success, with four Carnival hits: “Jam Somebody,” “Meh Darlin,” “Bubbling Champion” (with DJ Private Ryan), and “Fitness” featuring Trinidad Killa. She also toured internationally, performing in Malta, Switzerland, and Germany, while earning two Caribbean Music Award nominations for Female Soca Artist of the Year and Impact Soca Artist of the Year.

Beyond her performances, Jadel is deeply committed to her craft as a songwriter, known for her ability to craft diverse melodies that blend old-school Soca and R&B with modern sounds.

Now, for Carnival 2026, Jadel enters her boldest chapter yet. Her campaign launches with “Another Man,” a defiant call for women to demand love and respect, produced by XplicitMevon. She follows with the crossover groove “Permission” (co-written with GBM Nutron), the riddim-driven fire of the 12:12 Riddim, and “Leave Dat,” a playful but powerful women’s anthem. Each release highlights a different facet of her artistry: strength and sensuality, grit and glamour, Carnival goddess and everyday woman.

“This season is about stepping fully into who I am,” Jadel says. “I’m not only the voice you hear on stage and radio. I’m the woman who lives the same struggles, laughter, and love as my fans.”

Today, Jadel continues to evolve as one of Soca’s most exciting and consistent independent artists, celebrated for her powerful vocals, commanding stage presence, and authentic storytelling. With each release and performance, she deepens her connection with fans across the globe while proudly championing the rich culture of Trinidad and Tobago.
