We are back this week with a beautiful mix from Japanese artist Lycoriscoris, also known as Yunosuke Senoo. His mix for AM weaves between classical, ethereal, and electronic to create the perfect balance of quiet bliss and serenity effortlessly.  If you are in the mood for some feels, take this mix on a walk through some trees  - aka Forest Bathing, and you will immediately be uplifted into the world of Lycoriscoris. His new album Chiyu is out now on Anjunadeep and brings the same emotional sensibilities with subtle driving beats, the perfect companion for this mix. So we suggest a doubleheader. Russell Ellington Langston Butler (they/them) is a Black artist from Bermuda, living and working in New York City. Russell has painstakingly cultivated a unique artistic expression that integrates and investigates themes around process, technological innovation, the archive, and decolonization. Their works have taken the form of vinyl records, digital audio releases, live A/V performances, and special archiving projects. 

In 2022, Russell has kept a busy schedule. Remixing artists like Scott Avery and Joakim, touring internationally, and holding it down on many dancefloors in NYC. Russell recently released a new process oriented work called Three Things Minus One and has been playing live gigs again.

Notes on the Mix ///
"I’ve had a lot on my mind this summer as I’ve adjusted to an intense tour schedule. This is my job now and I am super grateful for the opportunity to travel and share music. This heightened intensity has made it hard to take a moment to breathe, so I’m working on that. This mix isn’t entirely focused on that though. I made this mix while thinking about all of my friends medically transitioning at the moment. There is no explicitly trans messaging in this mix, or even trans artists (to my knowledge), but I made it while holding space for my friends starting to bind, starting HRT, fundraising for Top surgery, growing and expanding their consciousness whilst reconciling with and embracing their bodily autonomy. So this one is a kind of dedication to them and my love for them and my hope that these sounds give them some space, just for them."

During summer lockdown 2021, it was forbidden to have dancing at parties. And so when exemplary north-east London record shop Hidden Sounds asked me to DJ at a sitting-down event, it seemed like the perfect workaround, and a wonderful excuse to explore some deep corners of my record collection. 
Think blankets, incense, rugs, chess, cushions, fungi, tea and 50 people laying around in a cosy space for a psychedelic, horizontal, evening listening session - pure bliss!

Halloween, an uncanny 13 years ago ~ New mixes are on the way, but in the meantime here's a fun oddity recently unearthed from a hard drive.
It was recorded 2009 in a bar called »Gulasch« that I liked a lot when I had just moved to Berlin. A dirty little beer-spilling, bolognese mouth-greasing, vodka-breathing universe.
Wanted to reach 666 minutes but got too wasted in the end with my buddy Simon Wald-Lasowski… It's got everything: Lots of hits, swish Traktor FX, hellishly tipsy mixing and shitty mp3s ~ Hope you enjoy x 👻🫠

Dunkeltier, aka Sneaker (@sneakerdj and @sneaker-edits), aka Gino Galan, aka Lupo in Bionda e Lupo (check their 716 Playlist and their upcoming EP « Die Kinder Aus Dem Park« ), aka Dérive with June (@june), aka Serial Error with Jacob Korn (@jacob-korn) & Credit 00 (@credit-00), aka another name to be found for his two projects coming with Scannoir (@scannoir) in 2018, aka many other names you might ignore…  has been here for a long time now in the underground « electro » music scene in the super wide meaning of the word. He released for numerous labels but has been particularly close of Uncanny Valley Records (@uncanny-valley-dresden), including its sublabel Rat Life Records, and Frigio Records (@frigio-records) run by our friend Juanpablo (check his 716 Mix).
Sneakers contribution is the reenactment of his long prepared mix of Russian (Italo) Disco and Post Punk for the Friday afternoon slot at the Camp Cosmic festival 2017. For those who don’t know it yet – CC is THE event for disco diggers in Europe since 2011 - invented by Albion (@big-muffle) in Sweden and now co-hosted by Spacelex (@spacelex) and a bunch of underground supporters from Dresden and Berlin.
