Alternative punk/postpunk/grunge band from Greater Manchester, UK!

One Dimensional Creatures, aka One Dimes, are a four-piece alternative postpunk/grunge band based in Greater Manchester, UK. Their music features heavy distorted guitars with flowing edgy lead lines and driving beats. Their punk-infused lyrics focus on UK politics and equality for all. They draw on a range of influences such as Idles, Show Me The Body, Protomartyr, Nirvana, Idlewild, The Pixies, and Sonic Youth.

ABOUT (First person):
Manchester based composer and recordist. Lo-fi. Folk. Psych. Songs. Unusually long neck for a man my height...

Influences drawn from just about everywhere (though favourites include the album Forever Changes and anything written by Kurt Vonnegut). The common unifying threads are a twin lust for imagination and storytelling.

BIO (Third person):
Currently working on his fourth album; a double, potentially triple album… Granfalloon continues the work of his third album, Positive Songs, to focus more on traditional songwriting, and not quite traditional storytelling, to chisel out small, beautiful moments. It showcases this non-traditional storytelling with subject matter like... the meta-narrative approach to the dangers to you and the relationships around you that writing can have, expressing love through mathematical formulae, and 8 year old girls catching bees in Tupperware boxes, all with a heavy dose of Richard Lomax’s absurdism.
