“High 4 U” is the first release by Gabe Lopez after finally breaking free from his major label deal. The cinematic queer bop was written, produced, and performed 100% by the artist. His recent work includes a 2023 Emmy nomination for his music mix work on RuPaul’s Drag Race, as well as co-writing and co-producing the new theme song to the worldwide phenomenon Dora The Explorer - which resulted in his TikTok going viral.  His album God Bless The Queens debuted in the Top 100 New Releases on iTunes. His music has been synced with several TV and film productions including Comedy Central’s The Other Two, Monster High, and Love Victor. He’s toured the world opening for pop icon Belinda Carlisle, who features on his single “California Blues,” which receives radio airplay from Sirius XM Radio and iHeart Radio, among his other recent releases. The latest single “High 4 U” marks Gabe Lopez' first foray into a new era of commercial and creative freedom, coloring outside the lines of bold indie pop art.

Let's Start A Fire

Boston grit-pop trio Happy Little Clouds’ sophomore album tells a poignant story of reflection, assessment and awakening. The band’s collective experience has shaped these nine tracks on Embers, and the stories contained within, packed tightly in the band’s eclectic, melodic, and soulful post-grunge sound, offer an invitation to seek refuge, seek allyship, and attempt, both collectively and individually, to make sense of an insane world. 

The record’s title derives from a lyric in new single “Liar Fire” -- “All my body curls like embers / Up or down I’m forced to choose” – a white-hot blast of ‘70s arena-rock ambition that sets a striking tone for an album packed with definable moments.  

“We really liked the symbolism of embers because it represents an intense, ephemeral light – like life,” the band states. “While an ember burns you can’t tell which way it’s going to drift. In the song, it represents a panicked moment where you are at a crossroads in life. You either choose to give into your fear or move toward love.” 

The songs in the album follow a narrative,” the band explains. “Fresh-faced optimism, encounters various obstacles, people and life experiences. Our protagonist plumbs the depths of introspection, existentialism, and eventually a dark night of the soul. They reemerge after hitting rock bottom and sincerely ask, like The Fool in the tarot, ‘Can you help me with these questions about life, loss, and love?’” 

By Embers’ closing track, “The Water at Your Feet,” there is a reflection back at life, and Mestel sums it up perfectly: “Like a town drowned to create a reservoir with all its once relevant objects now relics of the past. We end the album looking back through all of life, both the painful and the joyful parts, all together.”

EMBERVIEW emerges from the wreckage of the digital age with a debut that is as much a warning as it is a sanctuary. Blending the jagged edges of Modern Alt-Pop with the rhythmic pulse of Lofi R&B, the project explores the friction between a world that is "Red Zone" loud and a soul that is "Off Grid" quiet.

Driven by melancholic vocals and cinematic soundscapes, the album charts a course through systemic collapse and personal reconstruction. Calum Foad is a 25-year-old synth-pop artist, hailing from Reading (UK), who has been singing and playing guitar since childhood. Calum quickly developed industry support, writing and recording on both sides of the Atlantic, with producers such as Dan Weller (Enter Shikari, Nina Nesbitt) and grammy nominated Marc McClusky (Weezer, Motion City Soundtrack) - subsequently releasing songs such as ‘You & I’ and ‘Rollercoaster’, and carving out an 80s fuelled synth-driven sound in line with his long standing affinity for the music of that decade. 

Following a successful stint at the start of 2020 writing and recording in LA with producer Nate Merchant (Jason Derulo, Flo Rida, Sam Martin), he returned with a clutch of captivating new songs. Calum is now set to release via his own imprint label ‘Lil Bear Records’, licensed to label services provider ‘MTX’, kicking off on May 29th with the uplifting “Hope”, which, despite being written 4 years prior, gains extra resonance at this time.
