Paul reminds the Corinthians of the basic gospel truths, one of which is bodily resurrection, Christ's & ours.

Belief in resurrection of the body is  crucial to our walk. Without it, we cannot believe Christ was raised.

Our efforts /contributions for the Lord hinge on Him. Are we ready for interruptions? For adversaries?

We have troubles, but God comforts us; and we learn to comfort others and pray for them.

Our troubles turn us to relying on God, not ourselves, as we find that God is completely faithful.

To forgive and accept the forgiven one back after repentance brings comfort and we triumph in Jesus. 

The proof of ministry is changed lives. It's the Holy Spirit that writes the law on our hearts.

We do not lose heart, because the obstacles and trials of ministry are temporary, but the glory is eternal.

The old is gone, the new has come; so we no longer live for ourselves but, in Christ, for others. 

Paul works to act consistent with the gospel and asks us to walk separate from the world.
