_St. Kevin é o pseudônimo que Kevin Silvestri escolheu para assinar suas aventuras na música eletrônica. Na ativa desde 2014 tem passagens por várias casas noturnas e lounges de Florianópolis. Além de ser DJ, Kevin também é designer gráfico, editor, produtor cultural com diversos eventos próprios no portfólio, curador e um dos fundadores do projeto Noite Estranha e co-fundador do Coletivo D:sturbio (@disturbiodstrb).  
_com interesse em texturas detalhadas e trilhas sonoras de JRPGS dos anos 90, sua pesquisa e influências musicais viajam entre o eletrônico experimental e os ritmos do deep  house, acid, indie dance e techno.

Tape Loops Vol.1 started in 2020 when the São Paulo-based artist Paula Rebellato, co-founder of the genre-bending group Rakta, sat down to listen to some tapes at home.

Her first movement to loop fragments of a tape through a Boss DD7 pedal happened out of curiosity, not knowing exactly which sound she was looking for. From this on, her desire started to take shape, and decisions were made: to compose songs using various loops of two possible antagonistic artists/bands to unleash new music horizons.

The idea of looping and editing pre-existing sounds, finding the right tones and fragments that could work together, and mix them into a new composition came with great excitement and, eventually, as a very laborious process which she was more than willing to dive in.

Juxtaposing compositions by artists like Jah Wobble & Holger Czukay, Pink Floyd, Mike Oldfield, Hide, Led Zeppelin, Le Mystère Des Voix Bulgares, Deafkids, and Fronte Violeta, this record is about resignification through time, space, layers, and repetition inviting the listener to a journey of nuances through its 4 authorial jams and a remix by the power-electronics duo Os Fita, from Rio de Janeiro.

This is the initial episode of a release in 2 parts. The first one signed with Paula's forename as part of a process of reaffirming herself as an artist, in which her name emerges as a statement of multiple interests in sounds, genres, musical paths, and research.
