Post Hardcore from Wellington, New Zealand

It Prevails is a five piece melodic metalcore rock band hailing from Portland, Oregon. Formed in 2004, they are now based out of Denver, Colorado. The band draws influence from 90’s metal hardcore and classic rock. Bands like Shai Hulud, Twelve Tribes, Strongarm, Lifetime and Hot Water Music were on constant rotation at hangouts during their inception. A premium was placed on lyrics related to struggles of the human condition and altruistic actions. It Prevails released a four song EP, “Indelible” in 2005, their debut album “The Inspiration” in ‘07, and their most recent effort “Capture &amp; Embrace” on February 17th 2009. A new EP “Findings” is set for release in Summer of 2010.
