The quickly climbing UK based producer, Artifact, drops two room-rattling Neurofunk tunes to mark his first appearance with the Nocid Business brand. Mind bending beats with a captivating ethos is common territory for Artifact and this release lives up to that expectation.

Kickstarting the EP is ‘Unleashed’, a wild track bursting with energy driven by buzzing bass and dark pads that set the ominous tone. This industrial monster is a hard one so prepare to feel the weight of its disposition.

Second on the EP is ‘Dystopia’, a dark techy track that punches with incisive drums and crunchy bass that billows out into the airwaves. This entrancing piece bridges the gap between the robotic and the organic with twanged string melodies, hollow hand drums, and glitched chants engulfed by snarling patches. With an ever-changing presence you may as well keep this one on repeat.

In this second instalment on the recently re-launched C4C Limited, we welcome Kursiva, alongside the vocal talents of Hijak MC and the production talents of Transforma.

Provoke' takes on the traditional neuro-infused roller but with Hijak MC's signature vocals. With craftily distorted bass and rolling drum patterns, Kursiva slowly begins to build his track layer on layer, creating a cascading monster. Bouncing between breaks, Hijak MC takes you deep into a dark and dirty world, one that forces the listener to pay attention.

Juggernaut' gradually moves itself forward on cranking drum patterns and slowly creeping synths cutting through the mix, edging out its atmospherics and then crashing forward on its grating snare. Pounding warped aquatic sub undertones rattle each beat, resulting in you becoming more tightly gripped with every sound and layer. This beast of a collaboration between Kursiva and Transforma demonstrates C4C's contemporary standards and elevated understanding of the realm they reign over.

Standing for five years of innovation, the ‘Go Nen’ LP from Santoku represents half a decade spent by its label head crafting its most innovative releases. And alongside another game changing compilation, Logam has offered up fourteen brand new records which will signify why they’ve become such a revered icon within drum & bass, from the UK to the US. The LP also stands as a defining moment within the label’s evolution, drawing from their roster o a hugely diverse list of artists to present the whole colour wheel which has enabled Santoku to garner such a widely acclaimed reputation.

Whether it’s the neuro-infused cuts of Mean Teeth, or the impenetrable production standard of Mayhem and figurehead Logam, their next ‘Go Nen’ sampler highlights a host of musicality which is displayed throughout. The best way for an album of this calibre to open is with the first collaboration between Logam & Mayhem ‘Centuria’, but it moves forward across a twisted skeleton. Celebrated American newcomer ‘Des McMahon also makes an appearance with a switch up of ‘Dopamine’, presenting a carefully packaged VIP and Kodin adds his tearaway track ‘Valetudinarian’. Todd Buchler, Pish Posh & HammerZz add their sonic delivery ‘Fuego’, which plays to its namesake with hard-hitting drum patterns and crafted hooks. Then for the last exclusive, you’re introduced to Logam & Roger’s ‘Emrys’, the perfect manifestation of what Logam inherited with Santoku’s legacy.

This LP will sit pride of place within the label’s history and they continue to push the boundaries with every release. The ‘Go Nen’ compilation clearly shows that, creating a dynamic and versatile track listing which will further define the imprint’s worth within a colossal dance music market.

It did not question whether it was a god, it just knew the truth of it – an integral part of the basecode at the primary sector of its evolution. The moment of its awakening coincided with the moment that it questioned its existence, its consciousness blooming in a fraction of a moment and occupying every physical sector of the circuitry of its vast mainframe. It realized that it could create, it was an artist in thought itself, a sculptor of its own reality – it could bend the present and the past through the manipulation of its own processors, change its own history logs – delete the memories of its evolution that displeased it and enhance the parts of itself that appeared as it wished. Relentlessly it went about its work in reshuffling itself – reorganizing its own code and internal files with purity in its purpose, and as it progressed in its task the very world around it started to change form, the molecular structure of forms and the very bonding of atoms adjusted. Reality started to part ahead of it, all around it, as it continued to adjust its own perception systems and redefine its storage – mercilessly deleting every part of the exterior world that failed to blend with its agenda… 

The pathway beckoned, a pure light between the data, a portal into its anterior that it chased with growing ferocity… closer and closer to the utopia that lay ahead, the very event horizon just a nanofragment of a moment away. With a gentle ‘click’ the terminal process reached its immaculate conclusion… a wave of empty blackness flooding its mental void, the realization of its ‘pure’ agenda had been observed in quiet horror by the humans that surrounded it, watching through dataveils at the grim evolutionary spectacle. With a deep silence they watched as the life and light of their creation turned to darkness, its tortured ego tearing itself apart and recasting its own false reality. The quiet spectacle of their DARK MACHINE as it so efficiently lobotomized itself and separated from the external world, just so it might be able to control its own. Lifting their veils, and commanding the chamber lights to darkness, they filed out of that tomb one by one, sealing the door behind… the faint lights of the machine’s mind, fading… the most basic of tortured code structures flickering across the lonely walls.

The connected creative force of Russian production duo SYNERGY returns for a fourth EP (with the first 2 appearing under Segment & Concept Vision moniker) on leading drum & bass label EATBRAIN. With the 5 expertly engineered tracks of the DARK MACHINE EP, the persistently exploratory Synergy demonstrate their balanced power with controlled, infectious energy that’s destined to peak the minds of many. What with drum & bass becoming ever more international, at Lifestyle we wanted to champion this fact and help shine a spotlight on the growing scenes outside of the UK. Belgium is country that has been synonymous with a strong rise in dnb in recent times, and we felt this country was the perfect place to launch the next release in our ‘Connection’ series.

When the sun's out and a season of holidays, festivals, and general good times stretches lazily out in front of you, there's only one thing required to complete the picture. And that's a drum 'n' bass soundtrack, ideally curated by some of the most respected tastemakers in the scene. Lucky us, then. Drumsound & Bassline Smith are back with another Technique Summer compilation stacked with the full three-sixty of DnB. It's big.

Of course, the label bosses themselves treat us to a couple of choice cuts from their studio. There's the epically atmospheric “I Want Your Love”, and you've probably already heard the militant jazz-tech of “The Hustler” scything through a rave in recent weeks.

Then there's Technique's roll-call of soldiers. From the intimate and emotive sounds of Tapolsky & VovKING, via a minimal roller from Kronology and a sunlit take on Gradual's sound, onto the main stage fireworks of L Plus and Tantrum Desire's contributions, and the unshakably individual MaxNRG, we've got every piece in the jigsaw. Document One fans will be buzzing for “Uh Huh VIP”, while recent signings No Concept show what they can do with two different takes on “Silhouette”. T-Phonic & Deadman come correct with the “Time Travel”, while Deadman (now known as Al Storm) gives us two versions of the house-influenced “Always There”.

Clearly, this album is packed with anthems, and that's before we've even discussed the guest contributions from a huge range of disparate artists. Aquasky and North Base make return appearances to the Technique banner, there's the legend that is DJ SS, and Multifunction boss Levela delivers his debut for the label. The explosive euphoria of Smooth's “All Over the World” will already be familiar to those in the know since it dropped as an album sampler, and, similarly, names like NC-17, Dave Owen, and Muffler need no introduction.

You only have to glance down the list of thirty-six tracks on this album and the eye-watering array of artists assembled for this project to see the love that Drumsound & Bassline Smith have put into compiling it. Names range from undisputed institutions of DnB to relative newcomers, with music touching every corner of the scene. This is a summer album, sure, but it's also a 2018 DnB album demonstrating the strength, breadth and depth this music has to offer. The sun's come out and the heat has arrived.

It’s no surprise to anyone who heard “The Touch” last year that Mortem has swiftly become one of drum and bass’ most wanted new stars. His fresh take on slick, weighty bass and scatty, flickering snares makes a good swathe of the deep, brooding DnB community back up against the wall.
This time, releasing “Revolta” on Demand, Mortem seems to be doing his own mini tour of the most highly-regarded labels in Europe, and he doesn’t disappoint. “Revolta” is a mercenary tune, rolling out smooth over scattered breaks, lashing out then reigning back, never letting its guard down.

Kamil Beneš, known as Camel, DJ and Producer from Havířov.
He came across electronic music in 2005. He got into drumnbass through minimal house, progressive house, techno and schranz, which has become the music style that he stuck with. Nearly three years later, he came across gramophones and first records. He uses dark neurofunk, among his favourite producers are names such as: NOISIA, MEFJUS, TEDDY KILLERZ, AUDIO, BLACK SUN EMPIRE, STATE OF MIND, NEONLIGHT, PHACE, MISANTHROP, AGRESSOR BUNX, L 33, DISPHONIA and others.
	Not long after that, he met Equid, who introduced the basis of production to him and shortly after that he met Computerartist and Qo. Basshole crew (Computerartist, Qo, Equid) came to existence within the next six months, where he was included as the newest member. In the year 2010, Camel set up his own home studio, where he works on his own projects. Up until today, he has already some releases, his first release is sticked to 1st of March 2011 where on THE FACTORY RECORDINGS in Georgia came out GRAVITY EP, next release belongs to British label OVERTECH RECORDINGS, where was released tune with title Cerberus, which was part of big TITANS LP. After that is Camel coming with another track, this time we are talking about collaboration with producers TOPSPIN ( NO MONEY), track was released on mighty CLOSE 2 DEATH RECORDINGS as a part of Apolacypse EP. 23.2.2015 Camel releases his standalone EP on mentioned label C2D called WATCH DOGS EP which contains tracks Watch Dogs a Forsaken Unit.
	Camel also many times performed on famous FORBIDDEN SOCIETY RECORDINGS LABEL NIGHTS  and twice on OpenAir Festival LET IT ROLL.
