Rodriguez Jr. and Giorgia Angiuli join minds on a surprising and exciting collaboration. The French-Italian connection delivers two diverse songs merging the stylistic signature of both artists. Each artist brings a musical depth and soulful edge to the sounds they make and for that reason they stand out in the underground with credits on a range of influential labels.

"Tuning The Moon" kicks off with deep house grooves and delicate piano notes draped over the top. Soft shakers and distant motifs add to a warm, rich and late night atmosphere as a subtle bassline sweeps you off your feet before the spine tingling really brings an emotional overload that will make a great impact in the club. "Your Dark Dreams" is another artistic house cut with piano chords that draw you into an intimate groove. The gentle drums unfold in delicate, heart broken fashion before a breakdown is defined by celestial keys and rueful female vocals.

Sol Selectas is pleased to welcome back Argentinian artist Ulises for his first solo EP, after contributing two amazing songs for our Summer Sol compilations. This EP contains four original songs, and three remixes. In the artists own words - “The concept of the Más Allá EP is an attempt to go beyond the boundaries of the mental experience, trusting our inner voice to guide us into the expansion of our being.” 

“Más Allá” tells the story of that psychedelic inner journey which leads to the dusty way of ego dissolution.  “Pineal” refers to our third eye, which connects our consciousness, with a higher energy source. “Sian” pays homage the magical land of Sian Kaan, famous for its sunsets in the lagoon. “Obelisk”  was inspired by a trip to Rome, where the looted Egyptian obelisks can be found all over the city, working as antennas of sacred energy.
 
For the remixes we welcome back to the label David Mayer from Germany, who crafts a beautiful version of “Sian”, picking up the tempo slightly, and injecting his signature Afro house groove. Mexican Roderic joins the label for the first time, delivering a smooth take on Obelisk, weaving the horns in and out, and building the tension on the final breakdown. And finally, we welcome Russian artists Geju to Sol Selectas, also for the 1st time. They transform “Pinneal” into an epic down tempo journey, which opens the third eye to a higher frequency. 

The artwork by Helia Jamali visualizes the music leading our conscious mind to a clearer recognition of the higher self.
