We are happy to begin 2022 with a remix release of one of our favorite albums from the last year - Basheskia and Edward EQ's Seven Lessons with Mehmed Begić.

Originally released by our sublabel "Podmornica", the duo's latest effort brought a welcomed change to their sound and collaboration with Bosnian poet extraordinaire Mehmed Begić.

The new release comes with a remix re-imagining of the album's three singles, with producers AmuAmu, Mockbeat, and Salski turning the tracks Blackbird, Bladerunner, and Final Call, respectively, into real club hits.

Finally, with this release, Submarine Vibes presents a new design style.

Submarine Vibes presents its 90th release, with a crew of local producers, Tomorrow Never Comes, joining us on board.

A trio from Sarajevo (Bosnia & Herzegovina) that was formed one year ago by three producers with different musical backgrounds, from electronic and film to ethnic world music, finding common ground at the crossroads somewhere along the way. The trio has always kept club culture as their main inspiration while not shying away from exploring different corners of electronic music and music in general, as testified by their releases for Wold Records and 90Watts (Manual Music). When the vibe is good you hope “Tomorrow Never Comes.”

The track “Lullaby” sees the trio combining the club electronica sound with Bosnian traditional music by sampling the vocals of  a traditional ethnic song. 

The release also holds two remixes by Noble Spirit, hailing from Mexico, and the Parisian producer Roman Shazse.

For me, it is soul-deep, and therefore personal - I sense it as an internal quality of being. And it is often linked to the heart, to love - when we love something or someone, we find it beautiful. 

But to explore further... Do we have certain expectations of how beauty must show up? Or can we find Beauty in spaces/experiences that are not necessarily easy, or do not meet our preconceived expectations? Can we expand our sense of beauty in order to amplify it in a world filled with wars and all kinds of atrocities? Can we cocreate a beautiful world, together?
