Two Camerons. One birthday. One purpose.
Cam Gnarly and producer Teresa, both born on September 12th and sharing the name Cameron, came together to create something rare: a cohesive, intentional body of work built on spiritual synchronicity and lived experience. The result is I Took It Personal — a raw, reflective, and righteous journey through pain, presence, and personal evolution.

The Story:

At its core, I Took It Personal is the story of what happens when a person who usually keeps the peace decides to speak their truth. It's about drawing lines, protecting energy, and releasing expectations — without losing heart or heat.

Over ten carefully sequenced tracks, Cam takes us through betrayal (“What They Do”), self-coaching (“Don’t Be Scared”), authenticity checks (“Actors”), and ego eruptions (“Damn It Feels Good”). The project swings from lust and heartbreak (“The Backs” / “Problem Addict”) to spiritual weight (“Artist Life”), and eventually to clear-eyed discernment (“Hit Dogs Holler”).

The bonus track “Save It” — their first collaboration, released on their shared birthday in 2020 — serves as a prophetic interlude. The album ends with “Last Call Out” — Cam’s final toast and prayer for all that had to be left behind, featuring a defining quote from Pharrell:
“Don’t take it personal. Take note, take it serious — and take care of it.”
