With a compelling discography featuring releases on renowned labels like Kompakt, Diynamic, Cocoon, Fabric, and FFFR, his sound is deeply rooted in house music while also drawing inspiration from breakbeat, indie dance, techno, and even elements of hip-hop and modern pop. Turmstrasse is a complex, progressive and intriguing artist who focuses on the liberated space between driving house tracks and dancefloor anthems.

Having cut his cloth in the London underground party scene, Maxx quickly cemented his reputation as a technically accomplished DJ with an ear for quality, genre-transcending techno. He then went on to headline and play parties in most of the major cities around the World. From New York to Moscow, Berlin, Chicago, Stockholm, Madrid, Rome, Copenhagen, Warsaw, Prague, Bordeaux, Sofia, Bucharest, and many, many more…

A formally trained piano player, and with a diploma in Music Technology and Sound Engineering, Maxx runs his own labels Polymeric Records, Modular Soul, and T Sessions, and co-runs Astral Tech with old friend P.I.N.O. Lopez. He also co-founded and co-run Carbon Audio label in Austria with Rene Reiter for 6 years between 2009 and 2014, and worked as label manager for Molecular Recordings for 10 years between 2014 and 2024. Most of these these labels are available on vinyl, as MAXX is still making a point of supporting the media from time to time, by playing vinyl at his gigs, whenever possible.

After moving to London from Italy, where he was born, MAXX has released over 200 tracks, including vinyl releases on Polymeric, Primate, Involve, Cluster, Stay Up Forever, Suspected, Physical, Interruption, Berlin Invasion, Carbon Audio, Guild, Generator UK, Killawatts, Open Source, Techno Sessions, Interstate One, Interstate Colour, Techno Vinyls Records, Toolbox Killerz, and Reborn UK, collaborating along the way with many great artists, like Orlando Voorn, Chris Liberator and Pounding Grooves. His work has also been remixed by some great Techno producers, like Steve Stoll, Orlando Voorn, DJ ESP aka Woody McBride, Jam El Mar from Jam & Spoon, Nihil Young, Dolby D, and Subject One, to name a few.

MAXX productions are played and supported by many great DJs around the World: Carl Cox, Dave Clarke, Amelie Lens, Richie Hawtin, Umek, Paco Osuna, Alan Fitzpatrick, Marco Bailey, Ben Sims, Slam, Dax J, Boris, Joseph Capriati, I Hate Models, Pan-Pot, Kobosil, Regal, Anfisa Letyago, SHDW & Obscure Shape, Randomer, Nur Jaber, Eddie Halliwell, Claude VonStroke, Thomas P Heckman, Luigi Madonna, Anderson Noise, Frazi.er, Dr Motte, just to mention a few who play his tracks out in clubs, podcasts, or live radio shows.

My passion: Techno music!
The emotion of outstanding moving tracks, the rhythmic beats and tribal drums records, the pure and solid energy of pounding tunes... I love it all, I play it all.
Those emotional and energetic feelings that techno music is able to awaken in body and mind are the effects I try to translate in my tracks and dj-sets.
