My new album "Phant[as]" is out via Aesthetical, the sub-label of Cyclic Law.

“Imagined as a lucid nightmare, fuelled by my various inner struggles, Phant[as] is a trip into the depths of imagination. The project is inspired by Phantasmagoria, a form of theatre that was most popular in Paris in the 18th century, in which images of skeletons, demons and ghosts were projected onto walls and/or sheets. During these performances, there was a rapid succession of lights, smoke, illusions, ghosts and spectres that deceived and amazed the audience. The album then revolves around the concept of "illusion" to be understood as a succession of images, sounds, colours, objects, actions that vividly affect the senses and imagination showing unreal and intangible figures, but still visible and paralysing, just like our fears are. In fact, each track deals with my different turmoils, negative thoughts that have conditioned the last few years of my life and describe uneasy conditions shared by most of my peers. The project is presented as a cathartic experience in which I exorcise my mental ghosts and confronts challenges with the powerful and persuasive weapon that is sound, composed of obsessive rhythms and evanescent atmospheres. Finally, the reference to the Magic Lanterns is linked to my research in the field of audiovisuals, since they were the first performances in which an attempt was made, through the combination of motion graphics, light games and sound, to obtain greater sensorial and emotional involvement with the public.”

Bio: L’inspiration de Najem trouve sa source dans les sons émis par les machines-outils, les disqueuses ou le soudage à l’arc qu’il entendait résonner depuis l’atelier de construction de grues accolé à la maison de sa petite enfance. London based DJ and producer; MAN2.0 has graced the decks in Berlin, Edinburgh Manchester and Glasgow as well as rocking the closing Two Tribes party at London clubbing institution the Cause, playing on the same bill as Optimo, Kink and Ben Sims among others.
 
Last year, his Monsters EP got picked up by BBC Radio 1’s Paul Woolford, tore the roof off of Berghain the week before release and is a favourite in the Rekordboxes of DJs like Laurent Garnier, James Zabiela, Pedro Winter, Electrosexual, Justin Robertson and a host of other top guys in the business. He also presents Embryonic Soundwave on Voices FM which has featured guests such as Bleaching Agent, Tronik Youth and Black Light Smoke. 
 
Mark (as he’s known to his friends), has also released on Nein, Wonder Stories, Hypnotic Connection amongst others and has remixed for numerous artists such as Zakmina, Ali X (of Azari & III fame) and DDM boss Black Light Smoke, he has also picked up plaudits over the years from artists like Laurent Garnier,” Rex the Dog, DJ Sundae and has had his music described as ‘Dark but ultimately redemptive’ by the late great Andrew Weatherall, after getting a play on his  Music’s not for Everyone show on NTS.

DJ BONEY S is a Belgian DJ based in Berlin, Germany. She has her own rhythm in music and life -- before finally stepping behind the decks herself in 2020, she already looked back on two decades of club culture experience. Passionately collecting vinyl from various different genres for years, she started out as a party organiser in her native Belgium. Her behind the scenes work continued after relocating to Germany where she was heavily involved in establishing the PARALLEL nights at Griessmühle as a fixture of Berlin nightlife. As a former booker and label head, DJ BONEY S developed her own unique taste that is first and foremost shaped by one timeless medium: VINYL. She draws from classic 90s sounds and queer techno, travelling to otherworldly electro or cold industrial beats. Sometimes dreamy, sometimes pouncing -- but always trippy -- her sets invite you to close your eyes. DJ BONEY S is resident of SLIME Berlin and SOUSAMI (Cyprus), female:pressure member and publishes the PRALL podcast series.
