The accolades kept coming, onwards through 2013’s 2nd place prize in the Melbourne Redbull Thre3style competition, and later in 2014 and 15 – Dameza was unforgettably awarded back to back 1st place titles in the National ‘Wax Wars’ competition.

Inherently fascinated by all of the latest audio-visual tech, the performer has created waves with his live video performances as much as his purely musical sets. This passion for both led him to form Acumen, a DJ and visual project set up by Dameza and his brother VJ Sloth. The talented siblings climbed high as a unit, taking influence from world music vibes as much as electronic production, ultimately resulting in their awe-inspiring commission to create for the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. The duo went on to win first place at the 2010 Amplified Awards for Electronic / Dance Artist of the Year. And the rest is history.
