Matt started his journey into sound in the mid eighties when he ended up at the age of 15 on the California coast line ,absorbing the sun drenched laid back sounds of Garage band parties in the university town of Istla Vista California..Matt pursued his interest in learning to play the guitar In the west coast style. Although Matt started his career as a percussionist he soon began to pursue his dream of wailing psychedelic solos,s In the California sunshine. His musical path took him on a journey from the north to the south and from the east to the west of the U.S.A Favouriting and frequenting locations such as Maui Hawaii and Eugene Oregon . Matt has had a wealth of musical experience on his travels and This reflects in his laid back soulfull bluesfilled melodic sounds. On his travels Matt has had the privilege of watching act's like Carlos Santana ,The Grateful Dead,Jimmy Cliff,Bob Dylan ,Neil Young to mention a few. Matt has also hung out with the likes of family man the bass player for Bob Marley and the Wailers and even had the honour of meeting the whole 32 piece band behind the Great Feli Kuti Including Feli Kuti himself.
