As the saying goes, a joke told twice is twice as funny, so here you are: our latest record comes from Innershades again. Our eleventh release, his debut That Girl EP, is something we are very proud of, so we didn't hesitate for long before inviting the young man back to lay down some serious work. 

Gravure EP opens with a MPIA3-sque title track that comforts a merciless overdriven acid loop for the biggest part of it, swinging there and back and pausing for numerous calm-downs, then breaking down again with a Tempest kick and housy percussion. This one is definitely to be played out from beginning till end without mixing.

A Night To Forget, on the contrary, offers some of producer's trademark multilayered synth riffs and great work of pads. A classic electro beat with occasional clap series and beat repeat serves as a perfect basis for these resulting in a more romantic, slow mo Drexciya-like solution that works so well that it ends absolutely unexpectedly at the 5-minute mark, asking for a repeat. 

Switch to side B, and you'll forget the other one existed in the first place: Neverending Summer with it's soft pulsing synths and housy cheap tricks rolls very slowly at 115 BPM circa for almost twice the lenght of A1 to ensure a deep immersion. The tune in all of it's versatility does in fact evoke memories of summertime parties (that could equally well be happening in Panoramabar or, say, somewhere in Ibiza — the choice is yours). 

If we stick a relaxed 80's feel to the original, then the following Dexter's version steps 10 years ahead, becoming noticeably more unstable thanks to a whole variety of percussion and phasing/gating the original lead. This maniac retro acidic build balancing with modern bass tendencies is, in fact, a big nod to some of our past 90's influenced releases and 90's in general, for which we are thankful. 

With recent Berlin gigs and association with Creme, Innershades has grown a lot in both skills and play counts since our last cooperation, so it was even more interesting for us to see what would come out of this. Whatever the case, the output exceeded our wildest dreams, opening some wholly new sides of this multifaceted kid — listening to just a few seconds of each tune is enough to believe us.

The South African phenomenon Black Coffee has become well known in recent years due to his impeccable blend of house, infused with African culture and vibes. In 2012, ‘Buya’ was released featuring the stunning vocalist Yoshi.  The track went platinum in Africa in 2 months, bringing Black Coffee into the international spotlight. Now, Get Physical has taken the reigns and handed the track over to Loco Dice, M.A.N.D.Y. and Da Cappo for their remix wizardry.  

Loco Dice who has African roots spends his proceeds of the EP for the development of the new website, and the donation campaign for the Kliptown Youth Centre in Soweto, South Africa, a non-profit project that provides hope through tutoring, athletic, music and arts programs.  The returns will go to helping the heroes of the Kliptown Youth Center in Soweto, South Africa, giving kids a chance to create and express themselves whereas they might not have had that chance before. The youth is our future, and right now they need our help and support.

One of the most eagerly anticipated electronic albums of 2012 is finally released! After a series of groundbreaking singles: Pain In the Ass, Im Week and Ghetto Kraviz (featured here) Muscovite Nina Kraviz is set to release her eponymously titled debut artist album on Radio Slaves superb Rekids imprint. Ninas album is a combination of stripped-bare house, deepest Detroit sounds via beautifully ambient pockets and more soul infused slo-mo jams, all coated with an authentic analogue finish and Nina exquisite vocals. The music is emotive and engaging, whilst being something truly original and inspirational. The album features collaborations with Hard Ton and King Aus. Playing out like a full artistic statement rather than just a collection of tracks, the odd time signatures, innocent and waify vocals, muted acid lines and hypnotic loops layered up by Nina all work subtly at pulling you into her world. A superbly, executed and accomplished debut album that has already set the bar high for electronic albums this year.
