Guy Mantzur lands on PlattenBank later this month (Monday 11th December) with his ‘Blooming Fields’ EP. We’ve got the exclusive premiere of the title track above.

The Tel Aviv-based DJ/producer has been released on a slew of iconic labels recently, including Bedrock, Diynamic, Kompakt, Systematic, Lost & Found and Sudbeat.

On his forthcoming PlattenBank release, ‘Blooming Fields’, Mantzur drops a rolling and hypnotic slice of proggy tech paired with ocean deep pads.

The talented greek producer lands on Sudbeat with two tasty musical treats. 

The title track 'Purple Sky' is a driving underground little beauty, with its shoulder-swaying percussive groove setting the tone, before moody pads land, creating tension as the track subtly builds, all the while intensifying, as cheeky vocal hits meet dubby overtones, and big reverbs add to the soundscape. The breakdown adds a haunting melodious vibe, as we dreamily glide through a tinkly and trippy path, before all thing kick back in to cause some serious dance floor scenes.

Moving on with 'Substance', a powerful peak time gem that unleashes its energy from the off. A tasty bassline pushes proceedings with vigour, before a plucky string like riff, and a tripped out sci-fi synth line add texture. An intense breakdown encapsulates the energy flowing from this winner, before tasty drum fills and fx return with full force.

We're happy to show you the latest on French underground electronic music label Canal Auditif who have brought us joy before, releasing music by artists such as BOg, THe WHite Shadow and Chris Ojeda to name a few.

This time they welcome Nex Tone on board, with not one, not two, but three brand new tracks! The upcoming Ibiza based producer with English roots has raised some positive awareness lately with his releases on labels such as Nightcolours, New Violence, Under No Illusion and Proof Recordings to name a few. He shows his versatility here, exploring various angles of melodic electronic techno music. Wether it's the piano driven title track, the arpeggiator fueled 'Thea', or the more intense and straight forward 'Burbujas', Nex Tone manages to captivate the crowd with his stand out productions.

First up on remix duties it's time for Factor City and Beachcoma resident artist Undo who turns 'Thea' into a deep and delicate mind trip. An absolutely stunning piece of work! 

Then it's time for Timid Boy who remixes 'Song For Matthew'. The infamous French artist adds a healthy portion of groove, delivering a deep and stripped down groove workout. 

We end the release with Jacme who also remixes the title track. The mysterious newcomer goes for a more melodic and emo approach and the end result is very pretty indeed!

Release Info: 
Beginning 2018 by remixing two of the industry's most revered talents in Nick Warren and Jerome Isma-Ae, Cid Inc now presents his first original project of the year. 'Abyss' is the hugely anticipated follow-up to the Finnish artist's chart topping progressive anthem 'Shifter'. A staple in the sets of Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren all throughout 2017, it sat comfortably as one of the genre's best by year's end.

From stripped, punchy beginnings 'Abyss' retains the progressive techno ethos Cid Inc. was instrumental in creating almost a decade ago. Encased in a crisp rhythmic shell, warm bass swells and machine gun cadence drive the foundation. The storyboard evolves with delicate melodic lines and impassioned overlays, eventually melting down into a euphoric break. As the melodies blossom an intensely emotive crescendo is reached as a soulful wail summons a powerful final act.

The companion piece 'From Within' finds Cid Inc. exploring dreamier textures and wistful sonic tapestries. Binding rhythmic flow with distinctive stabs and hypnotic arps makes for a sleek, meditative first act. A perfect prelude of sorts, as tasteful chord
changes summon melancholic motifs and hopeful pads, building subtly as a smooth rush embodies warmth towards a purring finale.

Sitting comfortably in the present, 'Abyss' maintains that timeless flair which embodies Cid Inc's work. Two striking tracks for the impending spring season and no doubt a look ahead to more exceptional music from the Finnish artist.

Alex O’Rion returns to Sudbeat, along with a fresh restyiling of the label’s visual identity, presenting four breathtaking tracks that form the first part of the Amalthea's Horn EP. 
Cutting his teeth in the trance scene has given Alex O’Rion an edge that few other prog producers can claim. Now once again, Alex flexes his considerable musical muscles across four superb tracks creating unique energies and atmospheres.
Title track, ‘Amalthea's Horn’ circles back to Alex’s love of Greek mythology and is a symbol of abundance and plenty. Growing in statue from the opening kick, this is certainly a track that lives up to its promise. 
Next up, ‘Neuron’ is a classy slice of progressive trance that owes a lot to the incredible sound design Alex puts into his creations. This has future classic written all over it. 
‘Waipoua’ is an area on the Northern tip of New Zealand that plays host to a bewildering array of plant and animal life. Muscular and thoughtful, it mirrors the scenery that inspired it. 
Finally, ‘Myanmar’ takes a wistful, if bumpy, trip down memory lane conjuring up warmth and care-free days. 
The second versions of these gems will be released soon in a follow up along with another stunning original.

Since 2010, Canal Auditif succeeded in offering a quality alternative within the sphere of electronic musics in France, knocking down musical taxonomies by constantly putting forward new trends. Canal Auditif has now become a true episodic current - each of their events gathering more and more exacting amateurs – as well as a platform for audacity where neatly elaborate and atypical live DJ-sets and original productions can emerge, becoming sensory explorations of sound. In 2014, the label seeks to develop in this spirit, by proposing several collaborations between well-known international djs and local South-French producers from our team, spreading them on vinyl and digital releases in a bunch of new original productions.
