I've always loved this track but like most disco recordings, quality wasn't on par with the modern standards. So I replaced the drums and bass completely, rearranged few bits to make it dj friendly, added percussions and very minor FX to add a smidge of excitement.

Tried my best to keep the vibe as disco as possible.

Has been tested and tweaked numerous times on multiple dancefloors on plethora of sound systems in Tbilisi.

"After a solid previous compilation release on the catalog with artists like Eddie C, Jacques Renault, Romain FX, Nebraska, Elado, Devin Dare and many more, the Mexico City based edit imprint Nocturnal Hazard returns with it's fourth release by the one man discofied orchestra Roman Truth & The Nocturnal Hazard Orchestra. For this second volume on our main digital edit series, label boss Roman serves up another package of three dancefloor-melting re-morphed cuts, the entitled Land Of Plenty is a frenetic discofied banger layered over with a new heavy bassline, drums, hi-hats and more complimentary samples to turn the mellow and cheese original obscure source into a proper party anthem for late night hours. The remaining two tracks on the EP are Priest Of A Strange Religion, which is a funkier discofied dancefloor belter with chunky drums and moody vocals that follows the same killer recipe of the previous tune and The Camp, a smooth and seductive classic disco-fueled nugget with outstanding female vocals, tight drums and rolling disco trumpets chopped and re-worked with care and respect to guarantee an epic disco ride. This EP is an ode to our past editions of our hot Nocturnal Hazard Camp disco nights that took place at Departamento Studio Bar and Futuro Primitivo for four editions this year. Soundway Records present ’24 Hours in A Disco 1978 - 82’, 7 cuts of relentless disco grooves from the sublimely gifted Kiki Gyan. Hailed as Africa’s answer to Stevie Wonder, Ghanaian multi-instrumentalist Kiki Gyan was a musical wunderkind who by 1975 had risen from the lowly status of high school dropout to being ranked eighth in a poll of the greatest keyboardists in the world (occupying the rarefied air of the top ten with heavyweights like Steve Winwood, Billy Preston, and Stevie Wonder) as well as becoming an in-demand session player in the top recording studios of London - all before his twenty-first birthday. 

Out on his own, he produced a series of highly ambitious disco records aimed at positioning him as an international star, but weighed down by the excesses of the era, Gyan saw his meteoric rise matched by an equally swift fall back into obscurity. 

Loved dearly by his contemporaries and sorely missed since his death in 2005 the story of the life of Kofi Kwarko ‘Kiki’ Gyan is one often told with warning by his friends to the new generation of aspiring Ghanaian popstars.

Soundway Records now collects the best of Gyan’s work as a frontman and solo artist, featuring an array of electrifying disco grooves that still sound contemporary (and in some cases futuristic) decades after their initial release.

Released on CD and 2xLP both formats are accompanied with detailed liner notes written by Uchenna Ikonne. LP version comes with a free MP3 download of the release.
