Jonah’s Prayer

Chorus:
Hear my cry O my Master, and to my prayer incline Your ears, have mercy on me, and hold my hand, for I am in desperate need of You

Verse 1:
My soul has grown weary and tired, from my depths I plead to You, and You alone I remember, because You quench my yearning heart

Verse 2:
Billows and waves passed over me, all my burdens are heavy, have I been cast out of Your sight? My spirit longs for Your comfort

Chorus:
Hear my cry O my Master, and to my prayer incline your ears, have mercy on me, and hold my hand, for I am in desperate need of You

Verse 3:
Jonah prayed from the belly of the fish, You brought his life up from the pit, from the realm of death he cried for help, With love and mercy he heard Your voice

With shouts of grateful praise; I’ll pray, my pleas have reached Your holy place, for You have answered my prayers, all that I am thanks You my Lord.

My soul is troubled in the deep, 
And my eyes are full of tears,

(For Your salvation is so near.) x2

All of the waves came upon me, 
And I was drowned in the deep sea,
