DRT MNDZ, the rookie hip-hop group from Madison, WI, have recently released their debut mixtape, F.T.W. It was recorded in the Blue Dreams Studio, a local studio for underground artists in Madison. FreeQuenc (producer/vocalist/writer), born under the name Christopher Labella, is a founding member of this new age hip-hop group. With his psychedelic and unique sound, FreeQuenc has been able to capture a feeling and a rendition of music that has yet to come to fruition. With such an original sound, FreeQuenc's music flowed into the ears of many emerging fans, as well as local rapper and DRT MNDZ partner Sillabul (vocalist/writer). Sillabul, born Matthew Jordan Reines, was first introduced to FreeQuenc's sound when they were in high school.
“I won't forget it.” Sillabul recalls, “We were smokin' in my buddy Chino's bathroom, shooting the shit about doing what all high school party animals did..drink, smoke, fuck..you know..and he just happened to be in the rotation..we had mutual friends I think..anyways, we got to talking about music and I said I was a musician and he said he played guitar. The next day we were in his basement recording some demos.” Whether you call it a twist of fate, or chalk it up to pure coincidence, this was the birth of something amazing.
“Originally,” explains FreeQuenc, “we were going to be in a rock band, following the footsteps of idols like Kurt Cobain and Jimi Hendrix, but we also wanted it to have a hip hop feel. We wanted it to be something new. So we took our rock 'n' roll roots and combined them with the underground hip-hop we were hearing at that time.”
Their single “Shots” is a perfect example of their unique blend with a bluesy bass line and riff that may very well start off a new way that people perceive hip-hop. DRT MNDZ, behind their drug fueled lyrics and catchy hooks and melodies, deliver a pure, raw sound never heard before...and we can't wait to hear more.

Lil Drop Got introduced to Hiphop music as early as 8 years old, I had many inspirations.
 Eminem being the biggest for his music and Lil Wayne for his work ethics. 
Since then I been making beats untill I became 12 when I received my first microphone.
 I started recording tracks for fun at the start but one day a friend of mine suggested me to post my music on soundcloud.
 From that I decided to try to get my name out to the public and get some recognition.
