This mix is a rollercoaster - better put your seatbelt on. Be prepared for percussive highness on emotional ground, as well as known melodies between foreign drums and bassy cushions. 1 hour of releasing energies on different levels for beginners as well as for advanced listeners.  

HIỀN ĐIÊN, a German-Vietnamese artist from the Berlin-based crew Femme Bass Mafia, is deeply immersed in the world of bass music. Their passion lies within the eclectic and high-energy realm of bass, where they blend different captivating sounds. They explore music scenes globally, recognizing how music amplifies the visibility of marginalized groups and serves as a unifying force worldwide. The underground music of Southeast Asia, inspires them to redefine their own roots. Their sets create a profound connection between body and mind, with vibrant vibrations and polyrhythmic qualities. They invite audiences to let go, experience delightful surprises, and embrace the embodiment of music.

The iconic duo does not only share the love for each other, but also the passion for fast paced high energy techno. The combination of dark hard techno elements, many vocals and bouncy trance pays tribute to their DJ name and sets fire to the dancefloor.
This is their come-back after spending 4 months on different continents – so for this showcase their sound will be a reflection of this time apart on the one hand and on the other hand a celebration of the reunion and of everything that will follow.

Welcome back to another Transmission broadcasting from the HER 他 Transmission Mix Series, our mix series showcasing amazing artists from around the world. For the 157th edition, we bring you this live event recording from KSMBA, recorded at our Miscellania event on 30th September 2023.

KSMBA is a Naarm-based classical musician turned DJ. With a love for percussive, deep and hypnotic dance music, their sets aim to take you on a journey into their sound world, exploring rhythm, movement and energy.

Fresh to the scene, they are making their mark on dance floors and parties around Naarm, such as at Miscellania, New Guernica, Beyond the Valley, Revolver Upstairs, XE54, SubClub, 524 Flinders, and 170 Russell, as well as having their Eora debut supporting Stüm at a sold-out show at the Metro Theatre.

,,ONLYLU, Hamburg-based DJ and co-founder of OSZIL, as well as LC-O, provides a sound that can be categorized as tech-trance or progressive-house, which features mainly recent releases from France, Israel and Australia. The synergy established through a combination of breaky passages, psytrance- and acid elements, represents a currently trending sound-scape that sure promises one thing: To keep you dancing.

Besides DJing, Lu is dedicated to club culture and an active and present figure in Hamburgs club scene. Lu can be found at the Golden Pudel Club door or on the floor taking care of security and awareness matters, or at the [PAL] door as a selector. 

Gender equality in club culture and the electronic music scene remains a utopia due to dominant patriarchal structures. I see it as my responsibility to change this for the better, which is why I dedicated myself to club culture. Making a change requires a lot of patience and endurance. By being active in club culture on so many levels (organizing parties, writing and executing awareness concepts, working at the doors of Golden Pudel Club and [PAL], running two collectives and  DJing), I feel that I have a resourceful position to move something.‘‘
