I'm 63 years old, I love my music, it's been very therapeutic at times especially when I was younger I made compilations up with songs that related to how I was feeling.

A lot of you know me as Joel Soto, Latin Spice etc. But You will get to know me as the one and only DJ Flava J. I have been DJing since about the age of 6. I was taught by one of my uncles (DJ Pedro Contreras) the craft of beat matching, scratching etc. Now many years later I still push forward a new sound and other blends. I was born in Puerto Rico and moved to Florida at the age of 11. Lived there for 22 years and I have been in private parties, night clubs as well as church events with my gift of music. Now I live in the Atlanta area. I spin anything from Hip Hop, Old School, Latin, House, 70's Disco and everything else in between. Now I am bringing more than just remixes. I am bringing masterpieces. For example when did you ever hear 50 Cent doing Salsa? Chris Brown doing Urban Merengue ? As well as The SOS Band doing Take Your Time (Do It Right) in Reggaeton?
