Festival hero Captain Flatcap presents his debut Swing & Bass EP 'Fowl Play'. Expect an eargasm of some of his squelchiest and wobbliest bangers to date! They will make you go quackers!

'Fowl Play' kicks off the EP with 140BPM wobbler which takes Bassline House style synths and applies them to a Dubstep rhythm along with Flatcap's trademark folky instrumental samples to boot!

'Bang Bang Boogie' brings up the tempo with a feel good hip shaker that would be any Rappers Delight!

'Quacky Baccy' is a horn laced Glitch Hop growler that will melt your face off and leave you smiling about it at the same time.

The final track of the release 'I Spy' is a mid-tempo banger with flamenco style guitar throughout and glitchy bass synths, with a smooth guest vocal from Kurnel MC. The EP also contains an instrumental version that bangs just as hard as the vocal version!

Many moons ago (about 10 years actually, wow!) we booked everyone's favourite party starters The Nextmen to play at our NICE UP! night at The Jazz Cafe, London. They kindly did us a reggae and dancehall mix which was hosted by Spine Magazine at the time. We gave out CDs to everyone that came on the night too.

After having a bit of a lockdown clearout we found a copy at the back of a cupboard so thought we should upload it for you to check. Solid selection!

A recording of my set from NYE 2020 with an added intro and outro. A positive look ahead to when we're all permitted to enjoy this shit in a sweaty pit / beautiful field somewhere :] 

This mix is like ordering everything on the menu, but somehow the flavours all blend together or contrast perfectly. Serving suggestion: loud, on the big speakers ;] 

A bit slow off the mark (it's nearly February!), but a month of labyrinthitis sure does knock it out of you! No holds barred on this mix - funky, filthy, uplifting and ridiculous... as it should be.
