Italian modular live act Marco Cassanelli and Deckard return to T.a.Rock Records with a new mini-LP entitled ‘Splitted’.

Producers Marco Cassanelli and Beppe ‘Deckard’ Massara follow up their previous collaborations on the label, ‘Opus Sectile’ and ‘Pyramiden’ with an improvisational album titled ‘Splitted’. It is an amalgamation of sonic elements closely resembling their live performances and is the result of several studio sessions in Trani, Puglia. Additionally, the release is part of the lineup for “Programmazione Puglia Sounds 2022”, an initiative that supports and strengthens musical projects coming out of the world-renowned South Italian region.

Armed with analog and modular synthesisers, Marco Cassanelli and Deckard take you on an emotive journey inspired by geometry and symmetry used in all visual arts. Characterised by their dynamic compositions, the six tracks flow as one - incorporating components from one another, remixed according to the artist’s mood. From the imaginative dreamscapes of bonus track ‘Abandoned Town’ through to the playful synth lines of ‘Rectangle’, the release offers vibrant textures from start to finish. Its trippy, ambient atmospheres display the pair’s mastery of the instruments they wield and provides another outstanding release for the label.

Darkroom Dubs returns with a little late-night disco dissonance. It's time for some ‘Unstable Harmony’.

Following a brief hiatus - during which the label has been preparing for its forthcoming 20th anniversary - Silicone Soul’s longstanding imprint strides into 2022, fashionably late with this powerful label debut from Günce Aci.

An unstoppable tour-de-force from Istanbul in recent years, Günce has been weaving between the genres, joining hypnotic dots in the darkest shadows of house, disco, indie and electronica on labels such as Nein, Ombra International and Spectrowave. Now she lands Darkroom Dubs with two blisteringly fresh originals that defy categorisation.

‘Unstable Harmony’ sets the pace and tone. A bulbous bassline pushes the message with urgency in a way not dissimilar to Black Strobe. Laced with dark disco nuances and an unfaltering groove strong enough to melt concrete, don’t be fooled by the title: this guarantees the sweetest of dancefloor harmonies. 
 
‘No Longer Human’ increases the feeling of unease and tension with a lingering groove that lurks and raises in weight and momentum but never peaks. The perfect transition track or palette cleanser, Günce’s broken beats, insistent bassline and spiralling musical elements can disarm a crowd at 20 paces. And will do for a long time to come.

Stay tuned as Darkroom Dubs have plenty more to drop throughout 2022 from old friends and new. Expect beats from new signings Alvaro Cabana & Fargo Devanti and Abel Ray, plus the return of Undo, Amount and Am$trad Billionaire. It's going to be a long, long, hot summer, even in the darkest of rooms.

Four excellent reinterpretations of Benjamin Fröhlich's Dance Imperative "Do You Wanna Dance?" by Belfast's rising star Jordan Nocturne (who comes correct with two version), Barcelona's finest Baldo, who turned dancefloors upside down this summer with his Hit "Ride The Night" and Rosa Red, who just released her stunning debut EP on Permanent Vacation. Four variations of one track, that will serve their purpose during different parts of the night.

The legendary Alexander Robotnick (a nickname Maurizio Dami assumed in the 80s) is a towering name in Florentine music and someone who very much defined the early disco scene thanks to a superb run of enduring club cuts, not least his seminal "Problèmes D'amour". Although he is now in his 70s, Maurizio is still kicking out essential jams. His music features plenty of the arpeggios that have always given his sonority its character, coming out on labels like Permanent Vacation, Clone, Bordello A Parigi, and Bosconi Records. Few artists understand analogue machines and dance floor mechanics like this man, as he proves once more with "Simple Music", his eighth studio album, coming soon on Hot Elephant Music.

"Riffs and grooves are not endless, and when you are my age, you may have heard them already. I am having more and more trouble finding interesting tracks for myself, so I felt the need to produce “simple” music that generates genuine feelings in a scene that can be averse to risk", says Alexander.

Premiered here, the seductive Disco-House opener "Babel" is about the difficulties people in general have to understand one another, even when they speak the same language and share the same culture. In its composition, the vocoder vocals take centre stage next to lush chords and a true synth extravaganza.

Simple Music is another masterclass by the studio wizard that is Alexander Robotnick.

With his third album, The Big Swim, due out in December 2022 on Bongo Joe records, Augenwasser ventures once again into the paths of synth wave exploration with a pop feel. Still laced with the folk textures of his early days, he nevertheless develops a dance approach that can at times be akin to melancholic drone. His music takes you to an imaginary, dark club, lulled by a haunting rhythm, surrounded by the fumes of the night, where it is possible to indulge in that quiet voice that has already confessed that it is too late but will never stop repeating its soft, cold poetry. "You'll realize one sad morning / some things change without a warning. In the same way that BG team realize as a child that things are bigger than they seem, so Bongo Joe discover the music of Augenwasser. A simple and disturbing melody, beautiful and sincere, declined to excess, which grows with each track, as a stream turns into a lake, a music that builds a world of broken papers and enchanted ideas.

Captain Mustache is a French music producer and DJ from Paris.

Since 2020, he has released music on some of the most respected labels in the electronic scene: Kompakt, Mobilee, Exploited, Permanent Vacation, Helena Hauff's Return To Disorder, and an album on John Digweed's Bedrock Records, with consistent support from top DJ's around the world.

As a true electronic music lover, he has collaborated with some electro icons (Dave Clarke, Arnaud Rebotini, Chicks on Speed, The Advent, Keith Tucker from AUX88...), adding an extra vocal dimension to his music.

In 2023 he reached a career milestone with a full album called "The Super Album" on the legendary label KOMPAKT Records, with the privilege to join the short list of artists having signed an LP on this label, such as Kölsch, Agents Of Time or WhoMadeWho.

In 2025 he's coming with a new album called "LUZ" on beloved Berlin's label MOBILEE, a new achievement for him as an artist and a special step in his career.

He is now widely recognized for several standout tracks:
