Riot [Hard Techno Bastards]

For my next ODE2 series mix I wanted to get not just a label, but a specific artist as well. ILogik was the perfect candidate, with his massive catalog of tracks and the awesome Elasticman records, it's easy to see why he and his label were so big back in the early 2000's in the hard dance scene. Although his label had releases from huge artists like Carl Nicholson and Paul Glazby, I have dedicated this mix to ILogik himself, so every track has had his input in creating it.

Kaa the python and my snake boots reminded the fun had while puzzling a three hour ish Techno mix worthy of the Captain’s Table late last year. 
I remixed and mashed a fair few old Rave/ early pioneering/ no genre daze favourites, with “EMMANUEL TOP - ACID PHASE” joined with two mixes of THOMAS HECKMANN’S (good geeza right there) “Drax II/ Trope - AMPHETAMINE” and “GAIN FORCE X - Emptiion (Mandala Remix)” which is the incorrect title, I’ll have to grab the vinyl.  Challenging to slow down 155bpm of our rave days and fit with Techno’s 130bpm, giving fond memories of our glory years of gatherings of more than two people allowed, with no phones clutched firmly in hand.

What makes me laugh is Pharma/ Government handing out AMPHETAMINE pills in the 60s for the perfect household with one person working for a family, and now today you would be classed as a CRIMINAL.   No sailor, COKE ‘cos I LEARNED to COPE didn’t get handed out even though a plant. Or did it? The old dentists were daily mirror specialists I believe? My dad said it was about in UK powder rooms early last century!

I thought I’d share and I hope you enjoy, a gift in our times of further control and lockdowns!

Full mix is now up on soundcloud, but I warn you now, no tinribizer 150bpm, and if ye be a techno purist, I have fun and perform to gatherings of more than two usually, so don’t be too surprised on the extra bits for non Techno folk to enjoy! There are no Techno clubs here!
Here in New Zealand we have to support “ACDC” requests half way through ya 12 hour mix, so I’m obliged to chuck a few out of pureness numbers to keep the unsheltered olds and our kids happy, otherwise we could force a mutiny. 

MUSIC IS FOR EVERYONE, I BELIEVE YOU MUST THINK OF EVERYONE WHO IS THERE. HOW ELSE ARE THEY TO GET HOOKED ON RAVE OR JUNGLE TECHNO OF OUR HARDSHIP YEARS IN THE EARLY 90S? 
**Here in NZ, I struggle to even get up to the notorious Captain’s live ramming speed. (I’ve even suffered a verbal public warning in place b4 I even start! Giant Haystacks would have broken a chair win my day. :) Lol, just as well as often too f** by then to cope with all the dials and instruments! Weak? No… Thoughtful of others.

** I’ll upload here when I have the lossless .wav to hand. 20 fathoms below sea level with poor sonar and 3rd world internet interfearence here in the NZ Pacific Trench.  (No Ali 5G yet is probably a god thing looking at the virtually displayed  COVID Marshal Law Misinformational Mappings!)
