This song began with Josh coming up with it on his electric piano and fretless bass, to which he added some banjo, then mandolin. Once he had a solid basis for the song, he shared it with the rest of Eclectic Collective for them to add their parts. 
  Ken was first up, adding his drums in an such a creative way that matched Josh's bassline perfectly. It was originally recorded to a looper disco beat, but that was blown out of the water by Ken's creative drumming. Tez jumped in next, adding his thrilling guitar to the second half of the song. Not to be outdone, Stephen batted clean up, adding his textural and melodic guitar to the first half. He also added some subtle, but brilliant acoustic guitar to the first half, too. 
  This is a great example of Eclectic Collective coming up with an original band sound out of one of Josh's seeds. We're always pushing boundaries and trying to find fun and exciting ways to build a song. Lots of teamwork in here, too, of course. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed making it.

A fireball’s coming, there’s nowhere to hide

The ground shakes beneath my feet
The air's grown stale, yet bittersweet

I called the comet just a spark
A flicker meant to light the dark
I said that God would let us be
That fire was never meant for me
We crowned the beast and closed one eye
Then dared the world to split the sky
But soon the leopards bare their teeth
And tear the lies from underneath

We carved our thrones from wax and pride
Then struck the sparks we couldn’t hide
Laughed at crows that lined the wires
Mocked the smoke before the fires

The fireball splits the skies
To advertise my lies
are just maggots and flies

What was that man dreaming of, the one who played the saxophone the other night? When he finally wakes up, we’ll ask him – though it’s unlikely he’ll ever reply. And if by any chance he were willing to answer, he might say: "Nothing that I can remember, because nothing ever happens in my dreams."

This is the second in a series of eight easy, acoustic, rather short, and deliberately inconclusive tracks, assembled by combining new ideas with reworked older material, adding parts and sounds along the way.

I came across the page of Natalie (Caught in a Moment) https://soundcloud.com/missx-3 and instantly fell in love with her voice and music. 

The original song was a live-recording of Natalie's voice and piano.

I added a few things to make a duet version out of it. Here is the result, I hope you enjoy. Sound quality is limited due to live recording and the necessity to split it up in stems to re-mix it. Hope you don't mind.
