Ambionic (Joe Woodruff) has been an avid collector of all types of music since the early 90's and began mixing electronic music around 12 years ago. Initially influenced by Trance, Psy Trance, House and Techno, he now pursues the deeper and more downtempo sounds of Dub and Ambient.

2009-2019 : Space mixes # 1 to 9. In 2009, I started mixing live ambient sets at my radio show, each saturday afternoon in Québec city. I don't think more than 6 people were listening (including my GF at that time) but later on, in 2011, I published the first one on Soundcloud : Space III. Now after 30 000 plays of them, I decided to make a best of mixing the best of them. The result is a spaced-out mix that might seriously soothe your mind & body. Often the biggest inspiration lies in very basic harmonic structures or textures that’s why i combined some of my favourite ambient pieces with a number of, partially binaural, field recordings i took in the black forest last year. Ben Lukas Boysen has made a career out of transforming unusual sounds into compelling music. His first electronic compositions at 18 were experiments with samplers and tape loops leading to an album in 2003 and the subsequent foundation of his own Berlin studio. Since, he has produced multiple albums (many under the alias HECQ), and led numerous workshops on composition and sound aesthetics, as well as creating custom sound design for films, commercials, video games and installations. Boysen’s first film score for „Restive" premiered in 2011, followed by his debut album under his own name in 2013, and the award-winning score for the Sony Playstation game, Everything, in 2016 as well as Amazon series „BEAT“ in 2018 and the score for the  film adaptation of best seller „The Collini Case“ in 2019.

This months set is a special one. This weekend we celebrate the summer  solstice. The longest day of the year. This session is dedicated to this event and is created by Mahiane. Her session is called Collimate. 

About Mahiane:

Dj, arranger, publisher, co-founder and manager of Ultimae records , Sandrine Gryson aka Mahiane explores music genres since 1985 and developped a keen ear and heart for atmospheric ambient, floating and organic sounds, idm, glitch, progressive techno and deep electro breakbeat; she occasionaly participates to projects such as Aes Dana project or Subgardens.
