'Infinity to 1' is the first release by the new Malta / Rotterdam based imprint Digital Empathy. The tracks range from the braindance side of electro and detroit techno to the haunted, lo-fi sound that Son of broke with in their debut release on Opal Tapes, back in 2015. ‘Infinity to 1’ follows up with an equally conceptually driven release - this time dealing with themes of artistic identity in a world that will inevitably be submerged in an endless amount of automated AI music. All tracks find ways to create a side-identity that accompanies each genre they touch upon, combining minimalist sensibilities with relentless sensations of entropy.

I'm a huge fan of Boards of Canada, and Roygbiv really got my attention waaaaay back when it was played on BBC radio 1's John Peel show, which I feel very lucky to have heard "live".

This is one of two alternative remixes I've done of the track. No samples used. All parts were created from scratch.
I gave it a completely different pitch and time signature to make it more my own, rather than just a straight a/b comparison
