Smithsonian Folkways Recordings is the nonprofit record label of the Smithsonian Institution, the national museum of the United States. We are part of the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage, located in Washington, D.C. 

We are dedicated to supporting cultural diversity and increased understanding among peoples through the documentation, preservation, and dissemination of sound. We believe that musical and cultural diversity contributes to the vitality and quality of life throughout the world. Through the dissemination of audio recordings and educational materials we seek to strengthen people's engagement with their own cultural heritage and to enhance their awareness and appreciation of the cultural heritage of others.

About my music:
I see things in people all the time that inspire me. Little fleeting moments that most would ignore. The way we love, the way we act, feel and live. After all, what else is there is you take 'us' out of the world. There wouldn't be anyone there to see it...

Think of this as a songwriting sketchbook. Production quality varies massively so don't go all technical on me, that's not what this page is about.
