Journeys by DJ’s, are part of the fabric of our lives today, originally they were curated and mixed by disc jockeys, but as the 90’s gave way to the noughties, rock stars young and old began to compile their very own ‘mixtapes’ / or ‘ trips’ as the well known series was called. Fact is even in the iTunes / Spotify age we put our trust in others to create soundscapes to entertain us. Over a few glasses of rather delightful red wine, Bara Brost met the BBE team in Berlin … a few weeks later and we have the first in their very own BBE 2014 collection, Spring of course. Joining the dots between the myriad of musical styles BBE has to offer, these Electro Swing darlings have along the way remixed Craig Charles’ (BBC 6) new favourite ‘Lovesongs’ along with songs from Otti Albietz’ beautiful new album ‘And The Voices’. A brilliant way to dip your ear into the wonderful world of BBE.
