'Ruminant Julius Caesar' is both a song about unconscious bias within research methodologies and science of deer social behaviour and organisation, but it's also about the importance of being the kind of human being who's truly open to others' perspectives. This one is personal.  UK-born Luxembourg-based Artist/Producer Tobisonics delivers a 2 minute 57 second indie-pop trauma-purge, ‘The Voice Inside Your Head Wants You Dead’.

Tobi takes on the persona of the toxic inner voice, a wretched creature compelled to destroy the very thing it needs to survive.  Tobi does so with a sense of authority made possible only by personal experience, and cannot help but allude to his own lifelong battle with chronic depression/anxiety and PTSD. 

“I was at a low point with the music.  I asked myself, If I could only make one more song, what would it be?  I sat down with the guitar and sang, ‘I am the voice inside your head and yes, I want you dead’.”

Working alone in his home studio, Tobi crafts a dynamic and ever-evolving soundscape of ear-catching drums and percussion, cryptic synths and layered guitars.  His first project to be presented in Dolby Atmos, Tobi undertook every aspect of production, mix, and master.

Nominated for Radio WigWam Best Electro Act 2021.  Tobi’s music has been played by DJ Tobi Lynn of Amazing Radio US, and featured in Fresh on the Net’s Fresh Faves [Batch 390].  His music has also attracted the attention of Abbie McCarthy [BBC Radio 1] “Enjoyed listening to this, ace production 👏🏼” and Jaguar [BBC Intro Dance Radio 1/Mix mag] “This is everything. I want more.”

Die Kölner ElectroPop Band "Waking Up in Stereo" ist seit 2016 mit zwei EPs, originellen Musikvideos und düster-romantischer Live Ästhetik erfolgreich unterwegs. Die Brüder Armen und Arin Gevorkaraghi starteten das Projekt als Duo und wurden wenig später auf der Bühne von Florian Bonn (Soft Saints) und  später von Leonhard Schüren am Schlagzeug unterstützt, der nun auch als festes Bandmitglied dabei ist.

Jetzt veröffentlichen "WUIS" mit ihrem Debütalbum "Eulogy of 23" ein als Nachruf getarntes pechschwarzes Loblied an die Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und die Zukunft.
Dreckige Gitarren, Rhodes und Schlagzeug kommen nostalgisch daher - sind aber völlig selbstverständlich in neuzeitliche 808 Bässe, Synths, Samples und immense Wolken aus Stimmen eingebettet. 
Von sinnlichem Groove der das Tanzen erzwingt, bis zu hymnischer sakraler Ernsthaftigkeit ist das emotionale und stilistische Spektrum weit. An Willkür ist hier allerdings nicht zu denken. Jeder Song ist eindeutig WUIS und dient dem Verlauf dieser dynamischen Zeit-Geschichte.

"Eulogy of 23" ist keine Playlist, sondern eine Erzählung.

The Cologne-based electro-pop band "Waking Up in Stereo" has been successfully active since 2016 with two EPs, original music videos, and a darkly romantic live aesthetic. Brothers Armen and Arin Gevorkaraghi started the project as a duo and were soon joined on stage by Florian Bonn (Soft Saints), later followed by Leonhard Schüren on drums, who is now a permanent member of the band.

Now, "WUIS" is releasing their debut album, „Eulogy of 23“, a pitch-black ode to the past, present, and future, disguised as an obituary. Gritty guitars, Rhodes, and drums evoke a sense of nostalgia – yet they are seamlessly embedded into modern 808 basslines, synths, samples, and immense clouds of voices.  
From sensual grooves that compel dancing to hymnal, sacred seriousness, the emotional and stylistic range is vast. However, randomness is not at play here. Every song is unmistakably WUIS and serves the flow of this dynamic time narrative.

„Eulogy of 23“ is not a playlist; it’s a story.
