The WorkHOUSE aka Beats & Banter is a radio show / podcast , that is best described as different. Glasgow Underground was set up in 1997 by Kevin McKay. He began the label releasing his own music and collaborations with friends and other Glasgow-based artists (Omid 16b, Studio Blue, DJ Q, Harri). Through his DJing and work for various music magazines (Muzik, Jockey Slut, Mixmag Update) he met some of his favourite producers of the time (Romanthony, Mateo & Matos, Idjut Boys...) and convinced some of them to join him releasing on GU. In the early 2000s, Kevin met Mylo and set up the Breastfed record label. The global success of "Destroy Rock & Roll" meant Glasgow Underground was put on hold. After leaving the Breastfed label in 2011, Kevin re-started Glasgow Underground and since then the label has gone on to re-invigorate Romanthony's catalogue with remixes from the likes of Dixon, MCDE, Gerd, Andres, Oliver Dollar, Ejeca, Audiojack, Claptone, Christian Nielsen, Supernova, Jimmy Edgar and Waifs & Strays. The label has also introduced producers like Daniel Trim, Brett Gould, Mia Dora and Illyus & Barrientos as well has releasing established & rising stars such as Metodi Hristov, Stefano Ritteri and Sabb.

Caballero Recordings started with the first release in 2004. It was Guimarans – “Besame” – a saxophone driven, Spanish influenced 
tribal-house tune. Artists like Christian Hornbostel, Esteban Garcia or Dub Deluxe shaped the typical tribal sound of the first releases. 
But as stagnation is regression, the sound of Caballero developed through the years and was always close to the up-to-date house sounds of the international club culture – keeping an eye on new trends and talents but never forgetting the roots of house music.
Artists like Thomas Gold, Kid Massive, Chris Montana or Big World found a homebase on Caballero and started their way to an international career.
The next big step was the release of DJ Chus & David Penn feat. Concha Buika – “We Play House” (originally released on Stereo Productions) with some new slamming remixes beginning of 2007 and Caballero gained more and more international reputation as an high-quality house label. 
The biggest commercial success followed last year with the release of “Move Your Body” by The Grower feat. Corey Andrew. The remake of the Marshall Jefferson classic included a massive remix by Jesse Garcia and was supported by all the global players like Roger Sanchez, Erick Morillo, Pete Tong, Axwell or Stonebridge. It directly went to No. 2 of the Beatport Top-100 charts and was licensed for numerous compilations worldwide – the international breakthrough was done…
But no time to rest, a lot of high quality releases followed and will follow and artists like Bush II Bush, Jesse Garcia, Muzzaik, Juan Kidd & Felix Baumgartner, Chris Kaeser, Carl Tricks, Gadjo, Belocca, Ruben Alvarez, Gold Ryan & Tapesh, Peter Brown and lots more are now part of the release schedule.

Introducing Love Not Money...

At a time where many young labels are vying for the attention of the music-buying public, and of course, trying to work their way into every DJ's record box – Love Not Money has made quite an impression. The Leeds-based label run by DJ / Producer Luke Pompey has released a consistent catalogue of quality music from a range of talented, and mostly new artists. In a short space of time the label has fast become one of the industries most reputable sources of good music while maintaining a high quality and a slick approach to everything they do, from the artwork, to merchandise, to parties.

Since launching late 2011 Love Not Money have already found their feet among the dance elite. They've signed over 100 artists, are close to their 70th release and have gained support from DJ's the world over. They've had plays worldwide on BBC Radio 1, Capital FM, Ibiza Global Radio and have racked up 15 Beatport top 100's, 1 Nu-Disco No.2 and launched Love Not Money clothing along the way. 

Love Not Money is not just about music they are a collective of Freethinkers, Artists, Musicians, Illustrators & Designers all with a view to keeping things fresh.
