I recently installed some new software at my studio and wanted to put it through its paces a bit.  It's December, so this just seemed fitting.  Enjoy. 

Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy (Tchaikovsky)

The 'Waltz of the Flowers' from Tchaikovsky's esteemed ballet 'The Nutcracker', appears towards the end of the second act. Attention can be drawn to the melodious cadenza of the harp, then to the horns that eventually make way into the riveting melody of the strings.

The bustling overture to CARMEN bursts out of the gate with lively music from the bullfighting scene of Act 4, interrupted by the well-known tune of Escamillo’s “Toreador Song.” Pier Giorgio Morandi conducts the orchestra of Seattle Opera.
