Sonic Almuerzo is born from one of the most sacred traditions of my homeland: el almuerzo valenciano. It’s not breakfast, it’s not lunch… it’s that perfect middle ground where time stands still.

This album is my tribute to those temples of esmorzaret, where vino with gaseosa fuels the conversations, cacaos and olivas set the rhythm of the morning and plates arrive loaded with oversized bocadillos. Every track is named after a legendary almuerzo spot in Valencia - places I’ve tasted, enjoyed, and shared unforgettable moments with friends.

In each track’s info, you’ll find the exact location of the bar along with its best bocadillo, so you know exactly what to order. If you ever visit Valencia, do yourself a favor: try one of these places and finish with a cremaet. You’ll thank me later.

Brooklyn-based vinyl-only record label ALINE Brooklyn delivers the second installment of its Original Series releases with an eight track album from label founder Nico Laa and producer Juan Cristiani titled 'Original Series 02'. 

In keeping with the label's ethos of delivering gripping, tasteful and sophisticated house music, the album is packed with intricate rhythms and warm textures. Here Mixmag unveils the album track 'Drastic' that provides listeners with an extended nine-minute excursion through Nico Laa and Juan Cristiani's approach to dancefloor magic. Expect the album to be packed with these motifs, with delicately crafted arrangement you just never want to end.
