Carlos theChords is a singer/guitarist from the New York City area. He pens and performs original acoustic/alternative/reggae songs with keen and introspective content.
 
theChords is the singer/guitarist and primary songwriter of ‘Transcend the Core’ 2008 - present, 
‘Carlos theChords’ 2012 – present, ‘moves the waters’ 2012 - present and MindStep 2010 -2011.

As the manager of himself and all prior bands mentioned, he has booked and created countless themed shows in NYC and NJ scene. Venues include Bowery Electric, Grand Victory, Leftfield Bar, Trash Bar, Local 269, Tattoo Shot Lounge, Blue Room NJ, Bar Matchless, Sullivan Hall, Public Assembly, Don Hills, Lit Lounge, Otto’s Shrunken Head etc.  He preserves the bands social sites and purposely seeks and sustains relations with locales and artists.
  With his background in audio engineering he recorded and mixed the Carlos theChords single: “On A Good Boat” 2016, Transcend the Core’s albums: “3 skulls …relinquish head candy” (2012) and “Live at Bar Matchless” (2012). Video recording, editing, photographic and graphic duties are all passionate extensions of his work in the bands. 
Creation and live portrayal of music is at the core of Carlos theChords’ heart. While playing and writing songs in New York City he is looking to take his sound coast to coast.
