For the first remix we called upon the renowned talents of Fur Coat, a longstanding friend of Atlant and owner of one of our favourite labels, Øddity. Sergio takes ‘Easy' into deeper territory with an expansive remix full of swirling heart wrenching keys and tones. The Fur Coat remix is an emotional journey perfect for an intimate dance-floor with the crowd flowing in unison, connected through great music.

'Montreal-based producer Tyler W makes his debut as an artist with a fantastic first release on Hicky & Kalo's label Plaisirs Sonores Records. His track 'Scorpion Rising' is a melancholic piece filled with beautiful melodies.

On remix duties, Erdi Irmak changes the tone of the track to create a gentle and pleasing organic house ballad. The handsome flute and enchanting bird sounds form an appeasing symbiosis.

Last but not least, Paul Kardos twists the original track into a progressive house weapon that will hypnotize the dancer with driving drums and emotive synth.

In the words of Hicky & Kalo: 'When we heard 'Scorpion Rising' for the first time, we were immediately hooked by the awesome melody. It was also the first time we heard about Tyler W and we knew that we had to welcome him into the PSR family. Welcome Tyler!''

The latest signing on Iptamenos Discos is the stunning debut EP by Dina Summer that features remixes by Black Light Smoke, Wiener Planquadrat & Time To Sleep. Fronted by Greek native Dina P., ‚Dina Summer’ is a collaborative band project by the producer Kalipo and the DJ/producer couple Local Suicide. 
After performing on local radio stations as a teenager, Dina began making waves as one of the first female DJs in Thessaloniki while also pursuing her studies at University. She later moved to Berlin where she met her husband with whom she formed the duo Local Suicide. The powerhouse has made a name for themselves releasing on labels such as Eskimo Recordings, Lumière Noire, Ombra INTL, TAU & more. Through their exploits, Beatport declared them as one of the key figures in the uprising dark disco scene. Around 2013 they met Bavarian born Kalipo while raving at Rock am Ring festival. At the time he was performing at the festival with his band, Frittenbude who are famous in German speaking countries for their unique mix of electro, punk & rap. Kalipo recently released his critically acclaimed fourth long player on KI Records which features artists such as Rampue, Ira Atari Oberst & Buchner & more.
It wasn’t until 2019 that the trio finally starting working on music together. The result was a unique blend of late ‘90s electro with elements of ’80s disco and new wave. 
Their first outing ‘Who Am I’ is a new wave / disco-hymn consisting of German & English vocals. They’re accompanied by stomping drums and a beautiful synthesised melody laid over a synth-arp that maintains the tracks momentum. 
The Club Version of ‘Who Am I’ is slightly faster and hits a little harder. In this track one can clearly hear the trio’s infamous ‘technodisco’ sound at work. The drums still stomp but with more depth and the synth-arp has a more rugged texture when compared to that of the original version.
The B-Side, titled ‘Fortune Teller’, is a groovy dance-floor bomb with nasty moroder-ish bass-arps, epic strings, spoken word elements and a slick breakdown followed by a banging and cascading drop that sucks in and hypnotises listeners.
Legendary US producer & composer Jordan Lieb aka Black Light Smoke’s take on ‘Fortune Teller’ turns the tune into a deep electro weapon with a wobbling bass-lines that ride perfectly with the drums and groovy synths. The glitchy vocals and the ominous sound of the strings give this track an awesomely dark atmosphere. 
Austrian duo Wiener Planquadrat – who recently released their debut single ‘Stillstand’ on Iptamenos Discos – transform ‘Who Am I’ into a masterpiece reminiscent of Soulwax’s iconic sound. This is emphasised by the dirty and bouncy groove, rugged tones and drums that are sure to make your body snap along with them. 
Croatian producer Time To Sleep, who recently released tracks on Disco Halal, Permanent Vacation & more, delivers a glitchy 128BPM dub techno re-interpretation of Fortune Teller with driving drums and a rolling bass-line that doesn’t let up. It’s filled with warm reverb filled percussion and an ethereal synth lead mid way through that makes you feel as though you’re floating while rounding off the EP

Madloch’s Sound Avenue enters 2022’s second quarter by welcoming Jean Calliou back to the label for a new EP. First emerging in 2016, the Swiss artist quickly established himself with releases via Magician On Duty, RYNTH, Sag & Tre and Underyourskin Records, where his deep, melodious sound flourished. Moving forward, July of 2019 saw the Zurich resident make his Sound Avenue debut with a well-received remix of Joe Miller’s ‘The Days’. Deep and enchanting in equal measure, its organic vibe immediately won over DJs and fans alike, sparking what has been a fruitful relationship between the Belgian imprint and Swiss artist. Now on the strength of 2021’s ‘Departure Unknown’, Jean makes a welcome return to Sound Avenue with a sprawling five-track showcase entitled ‘Simplon’.

Beginning with the title selection, Jean furthers the sentiment that his compositions drift above the rest of existence. Whether it’s the hauntingly layered musical fragments or the sleek, meditative framework which houses his dusty percussive arrangements, there is a whimsical lean to his work that you just can’t ignore. The deliberate groove and haunting vocal phrases of ‘Down’ find Jean at his creative best. Perhaps less direct than some of his previous work, the end result is one of equal depth, where notes ring out in timeless suspension, resonating against a backdrop of colourful electronics. Meanwhile, ‘Feathered Serpent’ lightens the mood with its charismatic charm and laid back, yet youthful exuberance. Jean’s masterful coaxing of incandescent tones, soulful plucks and rolling organics fuels what is a charming eight-minute jaunt. 

Bypassing the collection’s halfway point are the slow burning vibes of ‘Hora’. Four minutes of glacial grooves and shape-shifting textures put the listener in a tranquil state, only to go further down the meditative rabbit hole as thoughtful vocal fragments and drone-like lines emerge for a suitably spaced-out finale. ‘Myst’ sits as the collection's most heartfelt composition and appropriately lands as its fifth and final selection. Wavy arps, fluttery sonics and creamy piano stabs unite for a reflective storyboard, one which invites you to surrender to its captivating power and ultimately puts a stamp on this resounding collection.

Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint opens the fall season by welcoming John Moblack to the label for his debut EP. Residing in Mexico and taking inspiration from Adriatique, Eagles & Butterflies, Guy J, John Digweed, Maceo Plex and Sasha; John Moblack has emerged from his country's electronic music landscape with a refreshing take on progressive house and melodic techno. Although just three credits deep into his discography, the Playa del Carmen resident has already showcased his music via Hexagonal Music and Soundteller Records. Sound Avenue affiliate Future Avenue has also been a landing spot for John, with his label debut coming in April of this year with the well-received ‘6AM Express'. Also highly regarded as a DJ, John remains one of Mexico's premiere talents, performing globally at Coco Maya, La Mezcalina, Dolores, Santino Club, Santino Rooftop in the Caribbean, Panic Room in Paris, and the Cordoba in his native Argentina, while sharing the stage with Ezequiel Arias, Guy Mantzur, Ivory and Oostil along the way. Now on the cusp of his most impactful project to date, John Moblack adds Sound Avenue to his resume with a three-track showcase "Seaweed".
