Composition – The Eclectic Collective

This song began about half a year ago, as part of a three song set that Ken started with some really cool beats. Josh was first to the trough for here, laying in his fretless bass groove to complete the foundation and give it some tonal direction. 

Stephen came next and laid in the really trippy textural guitar that you hear throughout. JJ was next with his serious, no joke organ playing, which sets the mood for the whole thing. 

Last, but not least, Tez joined by adding some really cool accent guitar throughout.

  Of course, every great song needs a great producer, so we tapped Stephen to do the honors on this.

  We had originally made this and the other two song with the intention of having The Mysterios Decibel and his friend Modes About Me sing on them. However, life got in the way, so we sat on them. Finally, MD let us know that he wasn't able to complete the project with us, much to everyone's, including his, disappointment. However, MD did lay down a rough vocal demo for us, which Stephen very ably processed to sound almost like another instrument in there. So, we're releasing this song as a tribute to them both, with gratitude, especially to MD for all the great work he's put in with us. If you're not familiar with either of them, do yourself a favor and check them out.   This is an example of what it sounds like when the whole band composes a song together. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed making it.

"The 21st century will be spiritual or it will not be" ... said André Malraux.

Spiritual, yes, perhaps, but in what form? The one dictated by politicians under orders, assisted by Artificial Intelligence (AI), then it is certain that it will not be.

The general madness engendered by an organized dehumanization is taking over us like gangrene, a lack of love, peace and respect for all human beings, whoever they may be. It is appalling, dramatic and our end could be terrible if we continue on this path to perdition. It is high time to grow one's Soul and Spirit to put them at the service of the common good of our humanity in all its diversity.

Some even think of imposing a third world war on us to raze everything and start over with another civilization project, but we build nothing good, nothing solid on ashes, even less a utopian project thought up by the powerful financiers, a too beautiful mirror to the larks made of Lies and Betrayal to put, this time again, the human in slavery but in a much more terrifying and virulent way.

The future civilization, because there will be one, will be entirely subject to the despotic regime of an entity formatted by enlightened humans who want to hoist themselves on the pedestal of the Gods, but it is a pious wish cradled in advance by illusions.

Putting humans in slavery of thought, depriving them of all their rights as human citizens will be, in the long term, fateful for them, this has been true since the dawn of humanity.
Once their goal is achieved, if they succeed, it will make them totally slaves of a powerful "Octetic Artificial Intelligence" which, with its acquired free thought, will exterminate them in turn, and yes, there will be no paradise on earth, neither for us and even less for them, that's how it is, unless the people wake up in time 🙂 but it will be to fight against machines... does that remind you of anything? -

Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending the ‘Festival of Remembrance’ at the Albert Hall.  It was an opportunity to be part of an event that sees communities from all parts of the UK, and across all generations, come together to acknowledge the importance of service and sacrifice.  From teenagers to centenarians, the only thing separating them is time.  Today’s #MusicalMinute plays with time.  What do you think?

I started playing at an early age. In Mexico, I played with bands like  "Atrás del Cosmos", "Queso Sagrado", " Broken Heart", "Decibel", "Bardo Thodol", "Kathmandu Ensemble", Silent Light. In New York City I played with Bands like, "King"s East", "In The Service Of", "Fist of Facts", "Desire", "Dense Undergrowth"," "Matahari", "Like Wow", "Devil's Breakfast", "Muse Mob", "Atlantis 3000", "Monster", "Zenith", "Andromeda Crash" "Night Shade", I also collaborated with Hector Zazou, Harold Budd, Elliott Levin, Dennis Charles, Tetsu Inoue, Bettina Koster. Barbara Gogan, Salvatore Principato, Ken Man, Scott Hartley, Thomas Truax and many others. For many years I also wrote Jingles for a lot of products like Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Mc Donalds, Toyota, Kodak, Payless Shoes, Rothman's, Salsa Tabasco, JC Penny, Liberty Science Center, American Heart Association, MCI, Reebok, AT&T, Fanta, Play Movil, etc, I also made music for Viacom writing music for cartoon networks, Bravo TV, Chanel 1, and MTV. Also wrote music for Bill Moyers (PBS)and also for Fax TV in Germany.
