I wrote this song when I was very sad, and disappointed in myself. I didn't know how to recover. i felt like a failure. I still feel like a failure, but writing this song gave me hope, because Jesus gave me the insight and understanding and gift and lyrics and melody and harmonies for this song. it's a dance song, but it's also hopeful song. It's not every day that we get to stop and consider our ways. It's not every day that the son of God dies on a cross. But, what he did once gives us endless opportunities to seek Him and experience hope found in jesus.

I love daft punk, but I also love the carpenters. I love the 80s, but I prefer ballads. And first and foremost, God is my rock and salvation. He inspires all my music. But, I’m not perfect. I’m a sinner. But, He is able.

My journey in life has not been a straight line. I was diagnosed with a serious mental illness in middle school. I was taken out of school as a result. But, I graduated college. God has been there through it all.
