Sounds of Sputnik is Roma Kalitkin, whose signature sound mixes post-rock, shoegaze and dream pop with a slight kickback to noise pop. Originally from Rostov-on-Don in southern Russia, he draws inspiration from My Bloody Valentine, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Ride, Sonic Youth, Happy Mondays, and Slowdive. The musical semblance of this project is closer to the style of Mogwai, Air Formation, Hammock, Airiel, Jesu, Highspire, The Twilight Sad. 

Dubbing himself a "white crow", the music he makes has always gone against trends within Russia, both now as a solo artist and for the 20-odd years he played in various post-punk and shoegaze bands prior to that.

Look forward to Sounds of Sputnik's debut LP 'New Born', to be released by Ear to Ear Records on August 25, 2014, featuring Ummagma, Graham Bonnar (Swervedriver/ Brian Jonestown Massacre), Malcolm Holmes (Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark), psych rock producer Fran Ashcroft (Damon Albarn), Russian producers Morozov and Oleg Mezherovsky, and Brazil’s Mind Movies. British producer Marc Joy (Mike Peters, Golden Fable, Primal Scream, Oasis, Bernard Butler) has provided mastering support.  

Pandora Love has a unique style that blends danceable rhythms with psychedelic and tech-y sounds as well as memorable samples and booty-shaking beats. She seamlessly weaves groovy bass lines between funky, edgy, progressive, modern, and old school tracks that surprise and captivate her listeners. CAUTION: Pandora Love will make you dance; no matter what genres she brings to her carefully curated sets she will have you grooving on the dance floor or in your headphones.

Her first appearances were in the Chicago underground music scene in 2010, but now she is best known for her performances at electronic music festivals all over the Midwest, and regional Burning Man events. Some of her most notable performances include North Coast Music Festival, Movement Afterparties, Michigan Full Moon Festival, Future Dream, Sacred Earth, Electroverse, and many, many more.
