Hailing from Ploiesti, Romania, followed by his establishment in the UK, Vlad Ioachimescu himself represents a bold figure of the ever-growing underground minimal scene. His name has been mentioned on countless line-ups throughout London and West Midlands area and further. Vlad Ioachimescu’s signature sound is simply hypnotic, transposing any dancefloor into a narcotic journey to a rather darker and mesmerizing parallel dimension. His clear talent and stage persona landed him performances alongside some of the most iconic DJs, such as Suciu, Cap, Cosmjn, Herck & Somesan, while also a couple of sounding names such as Bryz, Ted Amber,  Triptil, Pe Dant and Sorin Simon. Inheriting and proudly representing a strong name, one could expect nothing but outstanding things from Vlad.

Vlad Ioachimescu is a DJ originally from Ploiesti, Romania but currently living in the U.K.

He discovered his passion for music since he was still at a very young age, but as the years passed, Vlad listened to so many more different genres of music until one of them really got to his heart! Ro-Minimal music touched his soul while he was attending electronic music festivals!

Vlad has shared the decks with many DJs both in Romania and in the UK, some of these DJs are Herck, Somesan, Sorin Simon and many others!

His style of hyping up the crowd and giving them what they needed at the right time has brought him a lot of attention and many collaborations! We are sure that he isn't going to stop here, there's much more coming from this passionate artist!

For the 38th edition of our Romanian series, we have Vlad Ioachimescu for the next hour and a half. 

Part of Un.usual and Mindhub, he's been grinding for the past years to only excel in what he does by curating wavey segments of minimalistic experiences. Through his 90 minutes with us, Vlad manages to take you from A to Z of his sound vision. Both rhythmically balanced and easy-going, the pieces he uses to knit the path are waltzing through a general idea of alienating Romanian minimal. Hitting the tops and plunging into deep sub-bass lines; dashing acid and taking on silky walks, he keeps the propagating energy throughout the duration.
