	Kent Parnell, stage name Cloud Nine, is a songwriter and recording artist from Lafayette, IN.  Cloud draws many of his lyrics and songs from personal life experiences and things he has been through.  He has had to persevere through many things in life; deaths, legal troubles, and a battle with alcoholism and substance abuse.  He tries to keep a positive influence in his songs, identifying with others out there that have gone through some of the same problems as him and encouraging everyone to fight and never give up.  
	Cloud Nine has been freestyling and rapping with friends for fun for many years, but in the summer of 2011 finally decided to start writing and recording lyrics.  The progress he has made in this short amount of time is astounding.  He has performed many times, including multiple times in Chicago and going as far as Iowa for a show.  Cloud's biggest inspirations in music are Lupe Fiasco, Eminem, Machine Gun Kelly, B.O.B., and Tech N9ne.  Many say that his music reminds them alot of MGK actually.  Cloud is a very hard worker and continues to develop his skills, delivery, and voice more and more every single day.
