We live in the belly of a great rusty beast and harvest our ideas from the cracks between concrete and forest. We humbly except the disorganized chatter and spew and collect it in our brains nurturing it until it gives us a heart beat a melody and a voice. We let it grow slowly until it busts out with all the conviction of a destitute banchee and takes its place among its brothers and sisters. A perfectly preserved translation of us and the world in which we tangle. A thought preserved in music. A song.

The Bellwether Ambassadors was a musical group consisting of Mars de la Mancha (vocals/guitar), Eric Jenner (drums) and Carson Lehman (bass). Their time was spent exploring the outer reaches of their minds while staying rooted with the traditional rock and folk music that they grew up on. The Gunslinger album is their novella following the dashing crusader, The Gunslinger, as he tries to vanquish the Sinister Minister. The twists and turns that are prevelent on this collection of tracks is indicative of the playful musicianship and the fearlessness of the band to try anything and everything. Carson Lehman, who produced, mixed and engineered the album (with additional engineering done by Brian Rosemeyer at Kingsize Soundlabs) did his best to harness the ideas and concepts The Bellwether Ambassadors and make an album that truly "fucked with the head, but in a good way!"

Following the dissolution of The Bellwether Ambassadors, de la Mancha and Jenner formed Ever The Mystic which is continuing the path towards the musical unknown. They also stay busy by immersing themselves in the SoCal music scene. Lehman went up north to Seattle, WA where he continues to produce and mix.
