SHUB DUB, aka Ilya Bikkel, is a DJ and sound producer from St. Petersburg. Since his early years, Ilya has been a fan of drum and bass, particularly techstep, jungle, and high-quality neurofunk. A little later, SHUB DUB developed a love for techno, where he also favors dark, low-frequency sounds.

Nato a Napoli il 6 Luglio 1982, fin da piccolo ho avuto la fortuna e la possibilità di dare sfogo alla mia passione sfrenata per la musica, approcciandomi, all’età di circa 6 anni, da autodidatta, al pianoforte ed in pochissimo tempo, ho cominciato a riprodurre sullo stesso, ad orecchio, come si dice in gergo, dapprima musica classica (Beethoven-Chopin-Mozart Etc.) e poi man mano classica napoletana, fino a qualcosa di più attuale, il tutto ovviamente, senza aver mai preso lezioni, né di pianoforte, né tantomeno di altri strumenti, il tutto fino all’età di circa 16 anni.
A quel punto, cominciai ad avvicinarmi alla musica elettronica, frequentando le prime discoteche, dato che avevo 2 fratelli più grandi, che avevano, come all’epoca si usava fare, una consolle, con la quale organizzavano piccoli party tra amici e dato che anche loro avevano questa passione, frequentavano le varie discoteche dell’epoca, soprattutto nel periodo estivo e mi portavano con loro ai primi party degli “Angels of Love”, rinomata organizzazione, che ai tempi faceva parte dell’élite, in campo di party e festival House, in quanto tutti i migliori e più grandi dj’s e producer al mondo, vi partecipavano….
Nel 1998, dopo essere stato in alcuni dei più importanti e bei locali d’Italia, come “L’ultimo Impero a Torino, con resident dj’s come Mauro Picotto, Ricky Le Roy e vocalist l’indimenticabile “Franchino”, o il Cocoricò a Riccione, che all’epoca, come tutt’ora d’altronde, faceva per la maggior parte, serate di musica elettronica, è cominciato il mio percorso, verso la musica “Techno”.
Nel 1999 il mio primo party Techno, come ospite, una delle leggende della “Techno Detroit” Mr. Juan Atkins.
Nello stesso anno, comprai i miei primi Technics SL 1210 MK2 e siccome avevo già avuto modo di studiare e sperimentare, come mixare le tracce, in pochissimo tempo e quasi naturalmente, ho imparato a mixare, ogni giorno che passava, sempre meglio.
Dopo qualche anno, data la mia forte passione e il mio volermi sempre migliorare, ho frequentato un corso di Sound Engineering durato 2 anni e conseguendo l’attestato, a livello europeo, Sound Engineer di 3 livello.
Nel 2005 volo a Londra, dove vivo per qualche anno e ovviamente continuo ad alimentare la mia passione, avendo la possibilità di affiancare dj’s del calibro di Cisco Ferreira Aka “The Advent”, Eric Sneo, Dave The Drummer e diversi altri….
La mia passione sfrenata per la “Techno”, non credo mi passerà mai e spero di continuare fin quando potrò farlo….

and Inrenational sets on Pereira , Manizales , Armenia ,Bogota Colombia 🇨🇴, Argentina 🇦🇷 United States 🇺🇸 
 And he has shared a booth with several DJs from the national electronic scene.

He now he has his own collective
Sound Disorder that is made up of Panick.
