With the third vinyl release BRVTAL turns to the east and puts together two favorite noisy-industrial techno artists that originate from Asia, Ryuji Takeuchi & Öspiel.

On hearing the first sound on side A, we already know there will be no joking, because the legendary Osaka-based producer and DJ, Ryuji Takeuchi delivered us two uncompromising, heavy raw and noisy tracks. He has a lot behind him, because his first connection with electronic music was in the early 90s. Since then he lived in the US, bought his turntables, gears, got in touch with Techno and other genres that we can catch in his musical legacy.

Don't worry, there will be no drift on the B side either, because the Brussels-based, but South Korean origin DJ and producer, Öspiel represents another two songs of his own characteristic techno sound. Both tracks influenced by his practice of electroacoustic music, he has developed a musical approach based on the exploration of sound matter. His productions present a narrative in which sound design creates a dark and cathartic soundscape. Industrial rhythms are confronted with manipulated textures and sounds, creating an energy specific to the artist.

We’ve got some fresh house music heat from Kai Van Dongen for our final premiere of the week. The UK based artist has provided a cosmic broken beat journey, reminiscent of olden age lo-fi house & absolutely perfect to kick start your weekend.

Boxia’s Outerworld imprint brings together artists from around the world for it’s next release, including; Japan, New York, London, and Stuttgart, for its second release. Acid intensity, full-scale boosters, and evocative soundscapes are all on display in ‘OUTER002.’

Kai Van Dongen has been pretty prolific in the studio in recent times, knocking out an assortment of dance-floor hits on various labels. Having released on 1Ø PILLS MATE, Ei8ht Records, Truncate, Underdub Records among others, it’s fair to say Kai is hitting all the right labels for a budding producer to blossom into a renowned 12 inch seller.

Born in South Africa but based in London Kai Van Donegen defies the genre boundaries that somewhat govern and control what many young producers will put out at early stages of their career. Kai has been releasing stellar techno, house, acid, electro & more, with little qualms to what may be defined as his sound. Rolling basslines, jacking vocals, crunchy drums & squelchy acid lines are integral in Kai’s output but otherwise don’t define his sound.

With ‘Chiptune Time Traveller,’ Kai Van Dongen takes us on a cosmic broken-beat voyage, using aggressive percussion and enticing vocals to transport us to another world. This is your Friday feel good soundtrack.

Scalameriya returns to Perc Trax with his new album 'Aeon Core' - the most definitive statement of his highly individual sound to date. Originally debuting on Perc Trax in 2016 in collaboration with VSK he has since cemented his status at the label with three further Perc Trax EPs 'Kepslok' (2016), 'Hellzone Megapunk' (2018) and 'Blueprint For Disaster' (2020).

Now 'Aeon Core' is upon us and sees Scalameriya extend his sound across 11 immaculately produced tracks showcasing a cybernetic, synthetic techno sound that still has a warm heart at its core. From the tough beats and warped vocals of 'Kiti Kimera' to the collapsing synth riffs of 'Elder Venus' to the punishing closing statement that is 'Warbeast' a track pushing up the Scalameriya BPM like never before, this is an album than perfectly balances intricacy, rhythm and power.

As with the last two Scalameriya EPs on Perc Trax the source illustration is an exclusive commissioned work by New Tasty with all editions of the album put together by Perc Trax design hero Adult Art Club. The distinctive illustration further solidifies the connection between the visual and sonic aesthetics of Scalameriya's Perc Trax releases to the point now where it feels like one cannot exist without the other. The album was mastered by Matt Colton at Metropolis Studios in London and will be released as a 2 x 12" vinyl release, a CD album plus download and streaming formats.

BRVTAL has started in 2018 and after several gigs and episodes of the podcasts series at last we arrived to kick off our dream project: the music label!
There was no question who would be on our first release, because we have been following their music since the beginning and we had a banger nights and great times with both of them at LÄRM and in Budapest. These awesome producers to whom we thank BVR001 are Niki Istrefi and Draugr!

Niki Istrefi is a rare precious star in the danish techno scene, everyone can recognize his music in the first minute, this mindfulness, fast, harsh and tighty sound with the essential melodies of melancholia. Niki is pretty determinant in BRVTAL's life, because we noticed him since his first release and it was obvious that we invited him to our first LÄRM's event!
Worldspawn gives the first push on his side of the vinyl. This catatonic sound is the enter to the darkness, what we can accept from the whole release. Blood Run is another step, much faster, much harder with an iconic spooky melody that will haunt us through our nightmares.

But we don't have to be afraid of Draugr either, he isn't joking at all. He became one of the unavoidable figures of parisian techno over the years. It wasn't a surprise how he totally bombed the LÄRM to the delight of us and our audience in 2019. We fell in love for the first time when we heard XB71. This track is the real taste of Draugr's music, the
uncompromising, tough sound with cruel hammering and flooding energy like an atomic bomb. Lastly we get to the final track of the vinyl that is dedicated to us, so the title is Brvtal. It's a great honor for us that this more galloping banger with killer dark melodies has the same name like our label and event series!
