Born in 1995 in Vilalba (Galicia), a region in the northwest of Spain, Diego Amido aka Oxygeno is a young and emerging artist from the Spanish techno scene.

Through the name Oxygeno, different moods, sensations and experiences that hide behind him come to light. As a result, his music is full of textures, with hypnotic rhythms that send minds into endless trips. 

On the productions' side, Oxygeno has released music on labels like Axis, Soma, Mord, Edit Select or his own label Lost Verses. His music has been widely played all around the globe, by well respected artists such as DVS1, Dave Clarke, Paula Temple, Slam, Blawan, Richie Hawtin and many more.

His sets are characterised by a mix of mesmerizing sounds and more raw, groovy, straight and banging techno. He has played in clubs like Melkweg (Amsterdam), Gare (Porto), or Cassette and Utopia (Madrid).

Medulla Oblongata’s doorway into the world of electronic music was via a long-standing immersion In the ambient world, the inspiration from which can be heard throughout much of his artistic outputs, including hybrid ambient sets incorporating tape samples, drone machine loops, and synths. The musical universe he inhabits thus encompasses ambient and drone, through to deeper hypnotic and more driving techno, with a more recent gig being an all-night long ambient -through-to-deep set alongside Terence Fixmer at KALT in Strasbourg. 

This mix recorded for On the 5th Day is inspired by his November 2022 gig with Dasha Rush and Justine Perry at KALT, and thus you can expect an immersive dance floor orientated trip to set you up beautifully for the week ahead.

Kenny Dahl is a Dj Producer focused on Techno and Electronics music. He started to play house music in 1991 when he was 11 years old in main south Italy's dancefloors. 
In 1999 he discovered the techno music: was “love at first sight” and he started to play all over Italy. At that time he began to compose his first tracks and get them in the Techno music world. In his performances, the groove goes from ethnics drums to the most recent synth vanguard of techno. 
He played in the most famous Rome’s clubs and in cities like Paris, Ibiza, Berlin, Amsterdam,Amman alongside artists such as Dave Clarke, Bas Mooy, Electric Indigo ,UVB, The Advent, Industrialyzer, Joris Voorn, Speedy J, Ansome, ONTAL, Hans Bouffmyhre  etc.
In 2016 he founded ECLECTIC.

In the 86th episode of Techno Cartel Podcast we are pleased to host Electrorites

Electrorites, was born in Pordenone (Italy) in 1977. The rhythm of his father’s records was the background of his childhood; then things got serious when he found himself in front of his first consolle and an irrepressible musical passion took over.

Public acclaim came in 1994, when he won an international DJ competition organized by a well-known club in Udine, which, given the success of the young DJ, asked him to continue to perform. Around that time he became a member of the staff of Radio SuperNetwork, at first as a mixing desk technician and then with his own program in which he proposed the latest innovations of his genre. Meanwhile he continued to perform in clubs. Experience led his style to evolve, from progressive to electronic, until he arrived at a techno sound, without however being chained to a particular genre, demonstrating rather a vocation for free and open musical inspiration, fed always and in any case by experimentation.

His first vinyl release was in the 2005. In 2010 he started to play internationally; in Germany, Spain, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lithuania and other countries. Electrorites has now founded his first record labels, Shout Records in the 2010, Nightmare Factory Records in 2011 with a lot of great artists like Space Djz, Dave The Drummer, Hans Bouffmyhre, Bjoern Torwellen, Oliver Kucera, iFormat and more!

After 10 years of experience in his studio Electrorites steps up to his debut album "Structures" (September 2016)... a storm of industrial-tinged energy. His album has received a lot of great feedbacks, supports and good reviews and was voted the Best Techno album of the month on Mixmag magazine. After his album he founded the new label: Structures Records.

Running the voodoo down since 2021, French DJ and producer Klint established his name within the upper layers of the techno scene at the speed of light. From his seminal debut and successive follow-ups on Planet Rhythm onto his freshest delivery for Glasgow’s finest, Soma Records, the Montpellier-based artist has piled up head-turning releases one after the other. Scanning the fringes between gridlocked 4x4 plastering and zero-G cosmonautics, his series of outings on the likes of Modularz ('The Beyonder', 2021), his acclaimed EP for Truncate ('Apache', 2022), or his hot-off- the-press remix for Alan Fitzpatrick alongside Planetary Assault Systems aka Luke Slater, as well as his Arsenic EP (2023) on Radio Slave's imprint, REKIDS, all of Klint's releases bear the hallmarks of an artist continually reaching for techno's most differentiating assets and time-proof values. Putting on a fully immersive experience for the body and soul together, Klint lays down fuel-efficient material, built to withstand extensive club use without losing any of its angular punch. Cutting his path at the frontline of industrial and abstract techno, the Frenchman keeps writing his name and legacy in capitals.

In the 89th episode of Techno Cartel Podcast we are pleased to host Ma Haiping 

Ma Haiping is one of the most influential Techno musicians in China.
His music are favored by Jeff Mills, and he released the album "Chang'e-4 " on the legendary label Axis Records. His music style combines Detroit tradition with sci-fi/Hypnotic Techno, a futuristic weapon designed for the dance floor. Before this, in 2013, he released the EP “The Chinese Connection ” on Scan 7‘s label Cratesavers International, which made him the first Chinese producer to release Techno in Detroit. In 2015, he released the EP "Crepuscular Rays" on Orlando Voorn's label Nightvision. In 2022 to 2023 Molecular Recordings and Seclusion have released the EP "XX 8" “Collapse” and "Invincible EP " respectively. His music has been played by Jeff Mills, Ben Sims, Ken Ishii, DVS 1, Rødhåd, Kr! z, Rene Wise, Setaoc Mass, 
He has performed on the same stage with dozens of international artists such as Juan Atkins, Robert Hood, Surgeon, and Oscar Mulero.

In the 154th episode of Techno Cartel Podcast we are pleased to host Jacom. 

Born and raised in southern Italy, Jacom is an emerging techno DJ and producer based in Zurich. In 2006, he fully dedicated himself to electronic music, which quickly brought him behind the decks. When he moved to Zurich in 2012, his career took an exponential upswing. 2016 the talented Italian became a member of the renowned label Adroit and has been an integral part of the collective ever since. In addition to numerous performances in Italy (e.g. Amnesia Milano, Cosmic Festival) and throughout Switzerland, Jacom has also demonstrated his skills in other European countries.

In the 155th episode of Techno Cartel Podcast we are pleased to host Ramon Tapia

Ramon Tapia was born and raised in Holland, with a Dutch mother and Chilean father – his upbringing had an eclectic mix of cultures which in turn developed and influenced his decision to become a musician. 
As always Ramon likes to raise his bar and his sound evolves constantly with a new inspiring sound. In 2023 Ramon entered into the Raw Techno techno Top 10 charts with a bang, with tracks like his collaboration with Gaston Zani “Friction” on Planet Rhtyhm ”  and “Circular” on Christian Smith’s  Tronic Music in 2024 .Expect collabs and remixes for Pan-Pot , Hertz , Kmyle , A.Paul and much more.
Self-taught, gradually he started learning how to produce tracks solo, with a foundation in pounding techno and hardcore scene which resulted in several releases and remixes , while going to school to become a gold smith he had a job in Antwerp’s famous record store “USA import” where he sculpted a broad  taste in music and his production skills along the way.
He found his resurgence in the 00’s, forging a new school techno sound with his release ‘Land Of Drum’ on Pocket the sublabel of Music Man, a release on Gayle San’s label Equator and more house styled tracks on New York’s legendary Strictly Rhythm label. That's where his name catapulted into the limelight, becoming the biggest turning point for his career, resulting in a residency at Sankey’s Ibiza for three years, multiple bookings around the globe, rapidly growing loyal fan base and global recognition!
With an impressive collection of releases on some of the biggest labels, Ramon decided to start his very own imprint - Say What? Records in 2012. The label delivers a proper dancefloor-ready Techno from respected names and new kids pulling the wagon for the new generation under Ramon’s supervision.
His skills aren’t limited to producing. He is also a highly skilled DJ, performing for crowds all around the world. He has a special way of connecting with the audience and taking them on an intense musical journey with his rolling /up tempo, raw  sound. So far you might have danced with him on festivals like Tomorrowland, Caprices festival, Drumcode Festival, May Day, Loveland and the list is counting.

Berlin-based Toni Dextor is all about the story you can tell with music. Using sound oscillations to
shape the atmosphere of a room,
building up the intense energy at peak time and guiding audiences through mind-melting breakdowns
are aces you’ll find up his sleeve. Unsurprisingly, his decision to become a DJ was inspired by years of
clubbing. Not content with simply selecting the music however, Toni started producing in 2018 and has
since released on some of the finest electronic labels, local and international, such as
made of Concrete, Planet Rhythm, Adroit and OFF Recordings.
Toni Dextor's style is characterized by playing what he calls “functional” techno - you can always count on
an atmosphere that makes you forget the time. In his productions he draws on memories and revives
familiar feelings.
Channeling these relatable yet unique experiences from his own club-goer adventure into his own tracks is
essential for Toni. These elements, combined with his ongoing
experimentation with production techniques make him one of the figures to keep an eye out as he
continues to push through the rungs of the music scene.
