Michael Matz is an American rock musician from Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.  His current album Out of the Past was released in 2023.

ASCAP/MTV/GRAMMY Winning Singer-Songwriter Performing around the world at legendary  venues such as, Feinstein’s Radio City Music Hall, Lincoln Center, Madison Square Garden, Apollo Theater, Carnegie Hall & Club Paradiso in Amsterdam . His resume consists of  recording and performing with artists covering the entire spectrum  of  pop music  such  as  Bruce  Springsteen, Elton John, Alice Cooper, Neil Diamond, , Dr. John, Leon Russell, Billy Joel, Peter Wolf, John Fogerty, Sting, Bonnie Raitt, Bette  Midler,   John  Mayer,   Kanye West, Aretha  Franklin,   Patti  Labelle, Luther Vandross, Freddie Jackson, John Legend, Queen Latifah, Fantasia, Lisa Fischer, Ledisi, Sam Moore, Deborah Cox,, Kenny Lattimore, Natalie Cole, Gregory Porter, Chante Moore, Michael Bolton, Jewel, Babyface,  Kenny  Rogers,  Stephanie  Mills,  Cyndi Lauper, Michael Jackson,  Whitney Houston, Wilson Pickett, Pete Seeger, John Rich, Kathleen Battle and others.  Clayton Co-Headlined the "Can't You Let You Go" tour with UK artist Nate SIMPSON, as well as touring. 
 
Clayton has lent his amazing 6-­‐octave range to recordings for Grammy Winners Kanye West "The Life Of Pablo", Ralph MacDonald  “Mixty Motions”, Ashford & Simpson “The Real Thing”,  Darlene Love  “Concert  Of  Love”, 25th Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Anniversary LP, & Freddie  Jackson  “For You”.  Clayton can be seen on The Valerie Simpson episode on "Oprah's Next Chapter" as well as The Oscar Winning Documentary "20 Feet From Stardom". He is currently promoting his single "Wild Horses".
