Awakening

This release has been created with the intention to raise awareness and funds for a beautiful project to protect important ancestral lands of the Wirikuta peoples of Mexico. If we can help raise enough money, together we can help protect 500 + acres of ancestral gardens that are now at risk of being destroyed by agricultural & mining companies. Here are some words from Iyakuh who is the main producer of the music and one of the leaders of this project:

“The past 6 months I have been weaving to support the protection of Wirikuta the Wixárika ( Huichol ) ancestral gardens. We have been working with permission from elder Don Rafa & Wixá musicians Miguel Carillo / Enrique Ramirez to record their traditional music. As well as filming & capturing interviews in their village in the Sierra Madre Occidental range of Mexico. With permission from the Marakames I was able to capture some of their traditional instrument loops in the studio &
create an electronic dance fusion EP. I was very excited to have the support of my brothers J∙Pool & Jakare to weave on these tracks. We will also be releasing a series of videos / albums of their traditional acoustic music soon. The intention of this project is to find ways to spread awareness of what is happening now at Wirikuta. I am deeply grateful for my brother NIDO FILMS who traveled a long way with me to Mexico to capture footage to get this message out to a larger audience.”

About this EP :
Yume is a dream. A dream in which you travel. From mountain to mountain, from river to river, from forest to forest. A dream in which you are in communion with yourself and your surroundings, seeking to share and spread love to face adversity, to gather, and to move forward together in unison.
We also present the remixes of 4 outstanding artists such as Antaares (Mexico), Mixwell (Costa Rica), Tripical Tropical (Spain) and Dvniel (Mexico). Each one contributes their talent to make an excellent piece of music as we always like: both listenable at home as well as on the dance floor.

Carried by an emotion of melancholy and bewilderment with regard to the paths before him, @lecours_music's first EP evokes the solitude in front of the mystery of life. The songs reflect a form of wandering between joy and sadness, hope and nostalgia, under the metaphor of a solitary crossing of the desert and the resulting inner journey.

Man stands alone before his own life and destiny. 
Around him, the material world becomes sand dunes, 
daylight fades and roads disappear. 
The path he has been following dissipates in the gusts of wind. 
The only guides he has left are not visible. 
They exist only within him. 
He is the lighthouse's sole guardian. 
The path outside may be lost forever. 
But the inner light illuminates the only path that really needs to be followed.
The inner path.
Towards oneself.

This metaphor was inspired by the ethnic chants and instruments of North Africa and the Middle East. These are regions with vast deserts, rich cultures and old history evoking a sense of deep mysticism for @lecours_music, even though he has not yet been there.

Welcome to the third edition of Unlocking the Doors of Infinity, a musical journey created for practicing yoga, breath work, or anything else that this journey inspires in you.

I met Rikke this past January in San Marcos La Laguna, Lago Atitalan, Guatemala. We instantly connected with our passion for yoga, philosophy and science!

In this edition, Rikke shares some beautiful words to guide you into your practice and to return home in the end. She has blessed us with a glimpse into her knowledge and understanding of the quantum field as well as her profound connection to the body and mother earth.

Here you can read her beautiful transmission:

"Presence yourself to yourself.

Presence yourself to the movement of your breath, to the drum of your heartbeat.

Presence yourself to the grounding solidity of your bones as they echo the anchoring resonance of the earth.

Presence yourself to the fluidity and the deep sea intelligence of your organs.

Presence yourself to the electricity of your  nervous system and subatomic particles that vibrate as you.

There is aliveness here.

There is a pulse of creation.

Pour yourself into yourself, pour yourself into this pulse, into the currents that usher their way through the matrix you experience as “you”

Into the depths of you, into the deepest chamber of you, into the ground of your being.

Into the stillness, into the silence.

Here is a gateway, a portal from your being into your becoming.

There is a longing here, a longing for life to birth itself out of itself.

Give yourself to this desire.

Let your back body melt like wet clay to the fertile soil underneath you.

Let your front body dissolve open into infinite sky.

You are the channel between the two.

You are the earth sky vessel.

You are infinity vibrating as form.

➤ About the EP :
"Yohana" is a journey into the shadows of the jungle. The sound of these songs are heavily influenced from my first experience with Abuela Aya, where she came to me, in my mind and body, in the form of a serpent. She spoke to me, showed me her power, her essence, I felt her movement and heard her sound, and I connected deeply with her spirit. I saw the shadow world that exists parallel to our reality everywhere, I learned that the energy of the shadows cannot be defined as good or bad but have their own unique power and influence on us.

➤ About the song :
ntiche and Yamanjo are both dear brothers whom I respect both very much as people and artists. We've played shows together and I find both their music, life, and vibes very inspiring. Moontide is an artist whose music I've been following for years and connected with recently, I invited him to make a remix of Yohana because I felt he would create something very special with his unique approach to music.

"Yohana" is the musical embodiment of that experience, drawing fusing together organic and tribal elements and warping them to create a psychedelic jungle atmosphere. This approach to creating was used in the production of each song in this EP.

Janax Pacha and I have come together with our creative artistic abilities to create this unique and powerfully vibrational experience. Combining the organic and shamanic Live Looping style of Janax Pacha with a refined sonic aesthetic, we are exploring new dimensions of possibilities live sets. This set is completely live and improvised in the moment, feeding off the energy of our surrounding and audience... it is a completely new experience every time.

We performed this set recently together at the beautiful Tree House Tulum, where the jungle meets the ocean under the moon and stars. This music is a pure reflection of our essence as humans and artists, both individually and together. We are mirrors of each other and of you.

We hope you enjoy receiving this set to celebrate dancing to this full moon <3
