Dayfade, a San Diego based producer, is releasing his long awaited album Stoned to the Bone on Seawind Records - 32 track journey of solid instrumental hip hop.

Stoned to the Bone features various sounds from samba to funk seamlessly intertwined with the soulful, jazzy hip hop sound that he is known for. Stoned to the Bone was produced in 2020 as a response to feelings of being restricted, mentally and physically due to the state of the world and a personal accident.

Written and recorded by Me Again, ‘Last Night’ is an emotionally driven track written about the control one person can have over a relationship. Although you know that it is toxic, you cant help but keep going back. With dance driven beats, airy synths, funk style guitar riffs and dreamy vocals, ‘Last Night' perfectly captures those late night thoughts one experiences whilst wrapped around someones finger. The songwriting is powerful and the production is flawless - it’s a diverse track that allows for easy bedroom listening yet has the ability to transport you to the dance floor. 

This diversity comes at no surprise with influence’s such as Rufus Du Sol, Bob Moses and Disclosure, which can be heard throughout. 

Me Again’s previous single, ‘Let Me Go’, clocked at over 50,000 streams on Spotify and can be found in Wave Of Good Noise, Discovery Weekly and Fresh Finds playlists.

The Steel City and Sunny California join forces in this funkadelic meeting of the minds between Pittsburgh synth-lover Buscrates and Sacramento deejay / producer DJ Epik. A deep, meandering bass line counterpoints the higher-register warbling synth melody, while shuffling percussion and a healthy dose of cowbells keep the dancers on their toes. The perfect end-of-the-summer top-down low-rider jam, “Five Days” harks back to the early years of 80s funk in all its synthesized glory.

Buscrates is a DJ, musician, and vinyl junkie from the Steel City of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Although he has a wide range of inspirations, the most influential are the drum machine and synth heavy grooves of early-mid 80s boogie and the sample laden, neck snapping MPC sequences of early 90s hip-hop. A deeper exploration of funk began as part of East Liberty Quarters, a trio consisting of Bus and two of his close friends Geeman and Nice Rec. They released 2 EPs on Rotating Souls Records and performed for the first time as openers for Dam Funk in 2011 at the now defunct Shadow Lounge in Pittsburgh. Buscrates continued this exploration as a solo artist on his 6-track electro funk EP The Spectrum (Omega Supreme, 2014), which also features his ELQ cohorts. During this time he also had a grasp on his more hip-hop and soulful side, which can be heard in works with oft collaborator Mecca:83 from the UK, his production with Ian Wallace under the name Extra Medium, a solo all instrumental cassette tape release Home Again (Thrash Flow, 2017) and most recently on the joint effort with Portland based MC Libretto Eternal Ridin (Liquid Beat, 2019). 

In 2015 he got his first international gig at Walla P’s Voyage Funktastique party in Montreal. Soon after he began traveling more in the States, doing beat sets with his Roland SP-404SX and DJ sets in various cities, most notably Los Angeles’ Funkmosphere party in 2017 with Dam-Funk. In 2018 he was a part of the very first 7” single release on Walla P’s Voyage Funktastique imprint, releasing the A side “You Got Me” featuring Laura Benack, with whom he had worked on some tracks for the second ELQ EP. The song is one of his most known and a favorite of many. Later that year he was selected to attend Playlist Retreat, an artists playground at the home of legendary DJ Jazzy Jeff. Last year he had a co-production credit with Nice Rec for a track on Wiz Khalifa & Curren$y’s 2009 album (Jet Life / Atlantic, 2019). 

Buscrates  is currently gearing up to release his first ever full-length LP on Bastard Jazz Recordings.

"Devils is essentially about allowing yourself every one in a while to give into emotions that are traditionally seen as negative, and that’s okay, because we are only human and need to experience and accept these feelings to be whole. I think giving someone the space and support to say anything and everything they are experiencing or thinking and for that also to be ok is an amazing way to accept and move on, in a way it’s taking away the stigma and shame of these feelings and turning the experience into something positive that will make you stronger."

Making her first steps into music when she won a national song writing competition judged by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, Natalie McCool has excelled.

Releasing her album ‘The Great Unknown’ in 2016, it has made tastemakers across the board fans of her exceptional art, with notable supports with Aurora & Jamie Lawson, & acclaim from The Sunday Times, Q, Pigeons & Planes & Wonderland as well as BBC Radio 1 DJs Huw Stephens & Alice Levine.

Fully wrapped up, her forthcoming album is a fine collection of songs which channel her raw, inimitable writing style. Partly co-written with The Wombats' Daniel Haggis, they capture and crystallize her memories from both childhood and adulthood, weaving deeply intimate stories that channel life's most vital thoughts and feelings like love, jealousy and loss into a skewed mixture of lilting yet gloriously catchy pop songs.
